Yesterday me and my little helper took Leeloo out for some rehabilitation and light training. She was an imported special case Rescue dog and she’s come a long way with her new owner and me this past year.

Her recall has come along so well, her lead manners have gone much better (but still loves to lead) but we’re fine with that. We definitely tested her yesterday with 3 loose dogs. She was locked in watching, with clear instructions, positive talk and some treats she came back to me and my daughter to play a lovely game of fetch, sniff the treat to decompress afterwards.

We spent some time giving her a fuss and my daughter playing fetch with her in her garden while I was talking to her owner about our hour with Leeloo before leaving. This isn’t a job for me, I put lots of love, care and passion into everything I do for these lovely animals in my care ❤️

Good morning!☀️

With temperatures expected to rise significantly throughout the day, I’ll be pausing all walks and training sessions to prioritise the health, safety and wellbeing of the dogs in my care. 🐾❤️

Dogs can struggle in high temperatures, so please avoid exercising them during the hottest parts of the day and make sure they have access to plenty of fresh water, shade and a cool, comfortable environment.

If you’re working and are worried about your dog being at home in the heat, I’m happy to help. If you have a shaded garden or a cool area inside your home, I can pop in to check on your dog, provide some enrichment, play, feed them if needed, and of course give them plenty of cuddles. 🐶❤️

Please feel free to message me if you need a hand. I’d much rather help keep your dog comfortable and safe than see them struggle in the heat. ☀️🐾
