Mila has previously found engagement more difficult in distracting environments and can tend to walk ahead and pull on the lead.

By starting somewhere she can succeed, we can build value in staying connected with her handler before gradually increasing the level of distraction.

Seeing her transfer that learning onto the street after such a short amount of focused work was so lovely to see.

A lovely start to Twiglet’s training journey! 🌟

Today we began building the foundations for confidence, communication, engagement and emotional regulation- all at Twiglet’s pace 🌿

She showed some really lovely natural skills, particularly her ability to settle, recover from excitement and engage once she felt comfortable.

We’ve got lots of exciting foundations to build on, with the longer-term possibility of supporting Lydia in her therapeutic work 🐾

The training for Twiglet has begun. Many thanks to Georgia for our first session.

This is a really simple foundation scent game using three cones, some treats and a “find” cue.

Blu is using his nose to search, locate the food and problem-solve, while working alongside his handler.

Scent work is a fantastic outlet for dogs…

• Provides mental stimulation
• Encourages natural sniffing and exploration
• Gives dogs an opportunity to problem-solve and make choices
• Can help bring down arousal and encourage more calm, focused behaviour
• Can support confidence by allowing dogs to work things out independently
• Provides an appropriate outlet for excess energy
• Can strengthen engagement and communication between dog and handler

For dogs who are naturally excitable or easily distracted, giving them an opportunity to use their nose and their brain can be incredibly valuable 🐾

A New Chapter… 🐾💙

I’m so excited to finally be able to share that I’ve joined Autism Dogs Charity as a Freelance Puppy Trainer, working within their Foundation Programme.

This role means so much to me. Supporting families as they welcome their new autism assistance dogs and helping them build confident, trusting partnerships is an incredible privilege, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an important stage in their journey.

Many of you know how passionate I am about positive, force-free training and supporting both dogs and the people who love them. Being able to combine that passion with such meaningful work is something I’ve been working towards for a long time.

I’m looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful families I’ll be supporting and to working alongside such a dedicated team.

Six months ago, Roody found unfamiliar people incredibly overwhelming. Today, he associates our sessions with fun, confidence and positive experiences.

To many people this is just a happy dog.

To me, it’s a dog whose emotional response to people has completely changed.

This is why we don’t just train behaviours—we change emotions.

I’m incredibly proud of Roody, and even more proud of Ben and Izzy for the dedication they’ve shown every single week.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. 🐾

Hi! I’m Georgia 🐾

I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly!

I’ve been working professionally within the canine industry since I was 15, and now at 28, I still can’t imagine doing anything else. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and helping people better understand their dogs is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

My passion for understanding dogs led me to complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College before going on to achieve a degree in Animal Behaviour and Psychology through Plymouth University. I’ve also completed multiple IMDT courses and am a qualified Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor through the IMDT. I strongly believe that learning never stops, so I continue to invest in my education to provide the best possible support for the dogs and owners I work with.

I’ve been running my own business for just under two years, and it’s been amazing to meet so many wonderful dogs (and their humans!) along the way.

Everything I do is based around positive reinforcement and force-free training. My goal is to help owners build a relationship with their dog that’s based on trust, understanding, and clear communication. Every dog is an individual, so I love finding training approaches that work for both the dog and the person.
