Haggis was back in today for his monthly maintenance massage, and what a lovely boy he is! 🥰

When Haggis first came to see me, he was showing signs of slowing down. He had a roached back, stiffness through his body, and wasn’t moving as freely as he once had.

After an initial course of three massage treatments, there was a noticeable improvement in his comfort and mobility. His posture became much more balanced, the stiffness reduced, and he was back to enjoying life with a lot more enthusiasm.

Today, Haggis came in for his maintenance session to help keep him feeling his best. It’s wonderful to see him running around, moving more freely, and enjoying his adventures again. 🐕✨

Regular maintenance massage can be a great way to support mobility, comfort, and overall wellbeing, especially as our dogs get older.

This is Albus on his first visit for Clinical Canine Massage Therapy. He is an 8 year Collie and has been diagnosed with a condition called Klippel-Feil syndrome, which is a neurological condition. Albus also experienced a traumatic episode after being struck by another dog in 2025, which resulted to a severe spinal injury, leading to Non-ambulatory tetraparesis, which is weakness affecting all four limbs and required lots of physio by his loving owners. Albus has done amazingly well coping with this condition and now receiving massage to help by improving circulation, reducing muscle tension, maintaining soft tissue health, promoting relaxation, and supporting rehabilitation. The massage treatement has been carried out with veterinary approval.

When Haggis first came to see me, he was showing clear signs of discomfort and stiffness. His movement was restricted, his posture was affected, and he just didn’t seem as comfortable or happy as he should have been. 🐾

After just 3 canine massage sessions, the improvement in Haggis was remarkable. ✨

He was moving more freely, his posture had improved significantly, and most importantly, he seemed like a much happier and more comfortable dog. ❤️🐾🐾

Seeing dogs regain comfort, confidence, and mobility is one of the most rewarding parts of canine massage therapy.

Well done, Haggis — you’ve been an absolute superstar throughout your sessions. 🐶

Grief is part of loving dogs.
There’s no way around it.
The moment we choose to share our lives with them, we accept that one day we will have to say goodbye. In between those moments comes the kind of love that changes routines, homes, priorities, and hearts.

For those who work with dogs, that experience is multiplied.
We celebrate recoveries, first walks back after injury, nervous dogs learning to trust again, older dogs finding comfort, and the quiet moments owners don’t always see. We build connections, even when we try to stay professional. So when a dog passes, it lands heavily.

Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that grief does not only belong to human relationships. Loss can carry exhaustion, sadness, and silence that people often underestimate. Many professionals keep showing up for others while carrying heartbreak of their own.

Every loss is heartfelt because every dog mattered.
