The Royal Household: Welcome to Queen Jaffa's Gardens 👑🌸
Jaffa went for a proper royal outing this week — in her pram, on the lead Nova's outgrown, straight to her favourite spot: the walled garden. Honestly, the second she sees those gates, you can tell she knows exactly where she is. Happiest cat in the kingdom. 😍
She even picked up a new little helper along the way — my friend's daughter was very keen to take charge of walking duties! 👧💙
But don't be fooled by all the elegance... Her Majesty does NOT do "no." We came across a locked gate on our travels, and let's just say Jaffa was having absolutely none of it. She looked up at that lock like she was personally offended it dared to stand between her and where she wanted to go. 😂👑 (Video evidence attached — you have to see her face!)

Harbour Tails: Meet Chica 🐾
Chica is one of our more elusive harbour cats — much like Nina, she often disappears for weeks at a time, so every sighting feels like a little gift.
We honestly don't know much about how she came to be here. It's possible she arrived during or after lockdown, a time when sadly a lot of pets were dumped as owners returned to wherever they'd emigrated from.
Back in December 2022, Chica needed treatment for a really nasty abscess on her head. It looked incredibly painful, but with the right care she healed up and is back to her usual self — confidently patrolling the walls like she owns the place. 😊
She might not show herself often, but she's very much part of the harbour family. 🧡

Cat-itude Tues: Send Help, I Am Outnumbered 😂🐾
Elaine's cats have been staying with me since last Monday — which means there are currently 7 cats living in this apartment. Feeding time has become a full military operation. 🫡
But it hasn't all been chaos — this sweet moment between Willow and her uncle Blue, paws and all, made the whole week worth it. 🥹💙
Even nap time comes with its own comedy though — exhibit A: Willow, fast asleep with a pompom toy wedged right at her back end. Priorities. 😹
The cat tree has never been so popular, the floor has never had so many judgmental little faces on it, and I've genuinely lost count of how many times I've said "no, that's not yours" today.
Send snacks (I've earned them). 😹

We wanted to share a bit more about why Dexter's Legacy means so much to us, and why we fundraise for PDSA. Please take a moment to watch. 🎥
We lost our boy Dexter suddenly to FIP, just after his 1st birthday. In his memory, we raise funds for PDSA — a charity providing free and low-cost vet care to pets whose owners couldn't otherwise afford it.

Every Sunday we'll be shining a light on the causes and businesses that support Jaffa's Cat Haven — and this week, it's close to home: Dexter's Legacy.
Dexter's Legacy was set up in memory of our beautiful boy Dexter, who we lost suddenly to FIP just after his 1st birthday. In his memory, we raise funds for PDSA — a UK charity providing free and low-cost vet care to pets whose owners can't afford private treatment.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps animals who'd otherwise miss out on the care they need. Even £2 makes a real difference. 🐾
