French Frogglers

This week, the children had to give me "Un Visage" (a face) 👩🏻‍🦱
It could be "Heureux" (happy) 😁 / "Triste" (sad) 😢 / "En Colère" (angry) 😡 or "Surpris" (surprised) 😮
The results were very interesting! 😂

Last week, "Le Monstre des Couleurs" (the Colour Monster) 🌈 was "En Colère" (angry) 😡 and made everybody around him angry too, even "Le Volcan" (the volcano) 🌋 by passing "La Colère" (the anger) around 😠
Thankfully, "La Fée Souris" (the Mouse Fairy) 🐁🧚🏻‍♀️came to the rescue and made everyone "Heureux" (happy) again 😁

The Autumn Term 🍁 started two weeks ago and we've been very busy: big flashcards to learn the new words 🇨🇵 songs 🎶 stories 📚 games 🪆 puppets 🐸 and even ducks! 🦆
Most importantly, we had fun! 🎉

After "Les Couleurs" 🔴🟡🔵 in the Autumn Term and "Les Nombres" 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ in the Spring Term, we finished the academic year by learning "Les Formes" (shapes) 🔴🟥❤️♦️in the Summer Term. These are the three additional themes we learn every year alongside our main topics, and reinforce all year long!
The children particularly enjoyed manipulating the squishy and plushy shapes 🟡🟨💛⭐

For the last two weeks of the Summer Term, we've been revising all the vocabulary we've learned about "Les Saisons" 🌸☀️🍁❄️
We've made a season puzzle and learned about the number of seasons and months in a year, we've dressed "Petit Ours Brun" (Little Brown Bear) 🐻 according to the season, and we've played a little game of "Loto des Saisons" (seasons bingo) to learn more vocabulary about nature 🌈🍒🍄🌲

We all loved these four wonderful stories about "Écureuil" (Squirrel) 🐿️ and "Oiseau" (Bird) 🐦 by the very talented Alice Hemming
Since this term's topic was "Les Saisons" (seasons), they were absolutely perfect and very much appreciated by children and adults alike! 🌸☀️🍁❄️

One game, two different ways to play: face-to-face and online. All the children had fun placing the animals in the right habitat.
"Pays Chaud" 🥵 ou "Pays froid"? 🥶
Some animals like "L'Hiver' (winter) 🦭🫍🐧🐻‍❄️ and others prefer "L'Été" (summer) 🐘🐅🦒🐒
