Gaston, âgé de 6 mois, est venu pour sa toute première séance de toilettage. Nous avons pris le temps de l'habituer en douceur aux images, aux bruits et aux sensations liés au toilettage. Il a eu droit à un nettoyage du contour des yeux, une coupe des griffes et des poils des pattes, un bon bain, un brossage, un séchage et le retrait de quelques nœuds.
Nous avons commencé en douceur ; à la fin, il était propre, sentait bon, était heureux et prêt pour une bonne sieste 🥱. Il reviendra pour un toilettage complet dans un mois...
Ce fut une première expérience très positive. J'ai failli ne pas vouloir le rendre à ses propriétaires ❤️😍

6 month old Gaston came for his very first grooming experience. We spent time together getting him comfortable with the sights, sounds and sensations of toilettage. He had his eyes cleared, nails and feet trimmed.. a good bath, brush and dry and a few knots cleaned up.
We started gently and by the time we had finished he was clean, sweet smelling and happy and ready to have a big sleep 🥱. He will be returning for a full groom in a months time...
It was a very positive first experience. I nearly refused to return him to his owners❤️😍

Lottie returned for her regular trim.. this time a little shorter than before. Lottie is one of my first clients and is now a regular at Beaux Chiens... always happy to run into reception and get on with it! ☺️

Premiere toilettages for Mambo (waiting at the door for his mum!), Bella and Marius this week. All were a little nervous and very precious but with gentle handling and understanding all achieved a happy outcome. A grooming session isn't only about the haircut.... ❤️

Première séance de toilettage cette semaine pour Mambo (qui attendait sa maman devant la porte !), Bella et Marius. Ils étaient tous un peu nerveux et très sensibles, mais grâce à une approche douce et bienveillante, tout s'est très bien passé. Une séance de toilettage, ce n'est pas seulement une question de coupe... ❤️

Bebe and Millie "the two Yorkies"❤️❤️ were also in for their full groom last week. Pics of before in the bath and after, together looking shiny and clean ..😊 Millie is officially my smallest (and by far the most cutest) client... 🤗

Hugo was in again last week for his regular hair wash and clip. He's getting on a bit and can't see very well so he's allowed lots of time to sit down and rest during his groom. He fell fast asleep on the table whilst I was finishing trimming his ears...so this is where he stayed until it was time to go home❤️

Tavi and Isla, West Highland Terriers, taking a well earned walk and a break after having their grooms last week.. Their second time at Beaux Chiens ... they were definitely feeling more confident this time and knew what to expect ... Familiarity brings confidence and a happy, relaxed experience. ❤️❤️

Resmas came for a through bath and brush out... his first time at the salon so we were gentle and took things slowly.. he left feeling relaxed, clean and smelling delicious! ❤️

Resmas est venu pour un bain complet et un brossage en profondeur... C'était sa première fois au salon, alors nous avons procédé en douceur et sans precipitation ... Il est reparti détendu, propre et avec une odeur délicieuse ! ❤️

I have a selection of homemade dog beds for sale in my salon.....in attractive countryside designs. The beds are lovingly made by volunteers of Twilight dogs retirement home. They are easily washable and very versatile, a spare bed for the car, by the fire or just to protect the sofa...
