Foundation CANYA SOS Campo de Gibraltar, is a non-profit organization located in Andalucia, southern Spain. Our mission is to shelter, care for, and find new homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs across all eight municipalities of the Campo de Gibraltar region. Our journey began over a decade ago when, in 2010, a group of dedicated members of the Spanish stray dog’s community, became aware of the

distressing conditions at the local pound. Motivated to make a positive impact, they united forces to address the challenging situation faced by the dogs under the management of Zoo Sanitario (municipal pound). With the invaluable support of our numerous volunteers, we embarked on a mission to enhance the shelter's conditions. Over the course of the past decade, our collective efforts have resulted in numerous positive changes. Today, our commitment to the well-being of dogs remains unwavering. We continue to work tirelessly to provide a safe haven for these animals, relying on the support of our compassionate community and volunteers. Together, we strive to create a brighter future for every dog that finds refuge within our shelter.

🇪🇸 CAMELA BUSCA UN HOGAR ❤️
Camela llegó a la perrera en agosto con unos 10 años y solo pesa alrededor de 6 kg. Esta pequeña mestiza estaba muy asustada cuando llegó y no sabemos nada de su pasado. 💔

Podemos imaginar lo abrumador que debe ser para una perrita tan pequeña encontrarse de repente en una jaula, rodeada de personas y perros desconocidos.

Camela necesita un hogar responsable y lleno de cariño donde pueda sentirse segura y cuidada. No ocupará mucho espacio en el sofá, pero puede ocupar un lugar enorme en tu corazón. ❤️

Camela arrived at the pound in August at around 10 years old and weighs just about 6 kg. This little crossbreed was very frightened when she arrived, and we know nothing about her past. 💔

We can only imagine how overwhelming it must be for such a tiny girl to suddenly find herself in a cage, surrounded by unfamiliar people and dogs.

Camela needs a responsible and loving home where she can feel safe and cared for. She won’t take up much space on the sofa, but she could take up a very big place in your heart. ❤️

RAMBO – ESPERANDO SU OPORTUNIDAD DE SER QUERIDO ❤️
RAMBO – WAITING FOR HIS CHANCE TO BE LOVED ❤️

🇪🇸 Rambo es un joven perro con un corazón enorme. ❤️
Llegó a la perrera en diciembre de 2024, y pronto habrá pasado dos años esperando allí — más de la mitad de su vida. Un tiempo demasiado largo para un perro tan joven que tiene tanto amor que dar.

Cuando llegó, era un poco desconfiado, pero con paciencia y cariño ha demostrado quién es realmente: un perro dulce, cariñoso y juguetón que disfruta mucho de la compañía humana.

En este vídeo podéis verlo disfrutando de un momento tranquilo en el patio, compartiendo espacio con otro perro y recibiendo unas merecidas caricias. ❤️

Rambo también es un compañero maravilloso de paseo. Camina muy bien con correa y no le molestan las personas, coches ni otros perros que pasan a su lado.

Como todos los perros de la perrera, Rambo pasa más de 23½ horas al día en su jaula, esperando a que alguien vea el perro tan especial que es.

Este joven merece un hogar responsable donde pueda seguir creciendo, recibir cariño y descubrir por fin la vida que merece. 🐾

🇬🇧 Rambo is a young dog with a huge heart. ❤️
He arrived at the pound in December 2024, and soon he will have spent two years waiting there — more than half of his life. Far too long for such a young dog who has so much love to give.

When he arrived, he was a little unsure of people, but with patience and kindness he has shown his true personality: a sweet, affectionate, and playful dog who really enjoys human company.

In this video, you can see him enjoying a quiet moment in the patio, sharing space with another dog and receiving some well-deserved cuddles. ❤️

Rambo is also a wonderful walking companion. He walks very well on the lead and is not bothered by passing people, cars, or other dogs.

Like all the dogs at the pound, Rambo spends more than 23½ hours a day in his cage, waiting for someone to see the special dog he truly is.

This young boy deserves a responsible home where he can continue to grow, receive love, and finally discover the life he deserves. 🐾

Durante agosto, sus tasas de adopción están cubiertas personalmente por los voluntarios que los han elegido. Ahora solo necesitamos encontrar a las personas adecuadas para abrirles la puerta.

BOONE NECESITA UN NUEVO HOGAR DE ACOGIDA ❤️
BOONE NEEDS A NEW FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME ❤️

🇪🇸Boone tiene unos 11 años y llegó a la perrera en muy malas condiciones, cubierto de garrapatas y extremadamente pálido.

A principios de agosto tuvo la suerte de poder salir de la perrera y entrar en una maravillosa casa de acogida… ¡y está disfrutando muchísimo! 🥹 Se ha adaptado muy bien a la vida en un hogar y se lleva estupendamente con el otro perro de la familia.

Pero su acogida termina a finales de agosto y Boone no puede volver a la perrera. 💔

Necesitamos urgentemente una nueva casa de acogida para él o, mejor aún, una familia responsable y cariñosa que quiera darle el hogar definitivo que tanto merece.

Boone ya ha demostrado lo feliz que puede ser fuera de una jaula. Por favor, ayúdanos a encontrarle un lugar seguro donde pueda pasar sus años dorados rodeado de cariño. ❤️

🇬🇧Boone is around 11 years old and arrived at the pound in a very poor condition, covered in ticks and extremely pale.

At the beginning of August, he was lucky enough to leave the pound and go into a wonderful foster home… and he is absolutely thriving! 🥹 He has settled beautifully into home life and is getting along wonderfully with the other dog in the home.

But his foster placement ends at the end of August, and Boone cannot go back to the pound. 💔

We urgently need a new foster home for him or, even better, a responsible and loving forever family who will give this sweet senior the home he so deserves.

Boone has already shown us how happy he can be outside a cage. Please help us find him a safe and loving place where he can spend his golden years. ❤️

CAMARON ❤️
🇪🇸Camaron es un precioso perro de 6 años que lleva esperando en la perrera desde febrero de 2025. Es cariñoso, disfruta mucho de la atención de las personas y se lleva bien con otros perros. 🥰

Le encanta salir a pasear y camina muy bien con la correa. No le molestan los coches ni las personas que pasan, y en los días calurosos incluso disfruta de un buen chapuzón en el río. 🌊🐾

Después de tanto tiempo en una jaula, Camaron merece la oportunidad de conocer la vida fuera de la perrera. Busca un hogar responsable y cariñoso donde pueda disfrutar por fin de paseos, compañía y de la libertad que tanto merece. ❤️

🇪🇸 SUR BUSCA UN HOGAR ❤️
Sur llegó a la perrera en agosto con solo unos 4 meses. Es un precioso mestizo que, cuando sea adulto, será de tamaño mediano/grande.

Este pequeño ya ha conocido el abandono y ahora pasa casi 24 horas al día dentro de una pequeña jaula. 💔

Sur necesita urgentemente una casa de acogida o, mejor aún, un hogar definitivo y responsable donde pueda crecer rodeado de cariño, seguridad y buenos cuidados.

Es solo un cachorro. Merece descubrir el mundo, jugar, aprender y crecer sabiendo que, esta vez, alguien se quedará a su lado para siempre. ❤️

Sur arrived at the pound in August at just around 4 months old. He is a gorgeous crossbreed who will probably be medium/large-sized when fully grown.

This little boy has already experienced abandonment, and he now spends almost 24 hours a day inside a small cage. 💔

Sur urgently needs a foster home or, even better, a responsible forever home where he can grow up surrounded by love, security and good care.

He is just a puppy. He deserves to discover the world, play, learn and grow up knowing that this time, someone will stay by his side forever. ❤️

KIMBO – UN ROTTWEILER CON UN CORAZÓN LEAL ❤️
KIMBO – A ROTTWEILER WITH A LOYAL HEART ❤️

🇪🇸 Kimbo es un precioso Rottweiler con una gran personalidad y un corazón enorme. ❤️
Llegó a la perrera en marzo de 2025, presumiblemente abandonado en la calle, y desde entonces espera una oportunidad para conocer la vida que merece.

Aunque Kimbo necesita un poco de tiempo para confiar, cuando crea un vínculo con una persona muestra su lado más dulce y cariñoso. En este vídeo podéis verlo disfrutando de unas caricias y demostrando cuánto le gusta la compañía humana. ❤️

También es un compañero maravilloso de paseo. Camina bien con correa y pasea tranquilamente junto a otros perros, tanto machos como hembras.

Como todos los perros de la perrera, Kimbo pasa más de 23½ horas al día solo en su pequeña jaula. Necesita una familia responsable que entienda sus necesidades, le dé tiempo para adaptarse y le ofrezca el cariño y la seguridad que tanto merece.

¿Quién será la persona que le dé a Kimbo la oportunidad de tener un hogar para siempre? 🐾

He arrived at the pound in March 2025, presumably abandoned on the streets, and since then he has been waiting for the chance to experience the life he deserves.

Although Kimbo needs a little time to trust, once he builds a bond with someone, he shows his sweet and affectionate side. In this video, you can see him enjoying some cuddles and showing how much he appreciates human company. ❤️
