Foundation CANYA SOS Campo de Gibraltar, is a non-profit organization located in Andalucia, southern Spain. Our mission is to shelter, care for, and find new homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs across all eight municipalities of the Campo de Gibraltar region. Our journey began over a decade ago when, in 2010, a group of dedicated members of the Spanish stray dog’s community, became aware of the distressing conditions at the local pound. Motivated to make a positive impact, they united forces to address the challenging situation faced by the dogs under the management of Zoo Sanitario (municipal pound). With the invaluable support of our numerous volunteers, we embarked on a mission to enhance the shelter's conditions. Over the course of the past decade, our collective efforts have resulted in numerous positive changes. Today, our commitment to the well-being of dogs remains unwavering. We continue to work tirelessly to provide a safe haven for these animals, relying on the support of our compassionate community and volunteers. Together, we strive to create a brighter future for every dog that finds refuge within our shelter.

💔 DANONE, UN ABUELO DULCE QUE MERECE UN HOGAR
💔 DANONE, A GENTLE SENIOR WHO DESERVES A HOME

🇬🇧Danone arrived at the pound in September 2026, when he was estimated to be around nine and a half years old. He had been seen wandering near a finca for some time before he was finally brought to the pound.

When he arrived, he had a deep cut on his side, which must have been painful and uncomfortable. Despite everything he had been through, Danone has shown himself to be a very sweet and gentle dog. ❤️

At almost ten years old, this senior boy deserves to spend his remaining years in a loving home rather than in a small cage at the pound. We hope someone will look beyond his age and see the lovely dog he is.

🙏 Danone needs a responsible home where he can feel loved, receive the care he deserves and finally enjoy the peaceful, happy life he has been waiting for. Could you help him find it? 🐾❤️

❤️ Manu deserves so much more than life behind bars

🇬🇧Manu is a beautiful Belgian Malinois, around two years old, who is finding life at the pound difficult. 💔 Although he has made a lot of progress, the environment is still challenging for him. He is an affectionate dog who enjoys human company and cuddles, and he spends his daily time outside his cage sharing the patio with many other dogs.

Like all the dogs at the pound, Manu spends more than 23 and a half hours a day in a small cage. A young, active and intelligent dog like him needs so much more: walks, exercise, mental stimulation and, above all, a family to belong to. ❤️

Manu needs a responsible, active home where he can feel safe, get the attention he needs and enjoy the life he deserves. We hope he won’t have to wait much longer! 🐾

🐾 NUESTROS CACHORRONES BUSCAN FAMILIA 🏡
🐾 OUR BIG PUPPIES ARE LOOKING FOR HOMES 🏡

🇬🇧They may not be tiny anymore, but they’re still puppies! ❤️ They have their whole lives ahead of them, so much to discover and so much love to give. What they need most is a family who’ll give them the chance to grow up and enjoy life beyond a cage.

They have so much to learn and so much to offer as loyal companions. They just need someone to give them a chance. 🐶💕

🙏 Could one of our lovely big pups be the missing piece in your family? Please help us find them responsible, loving homes!
