🔥☀️🚨 HEAT WARNING! 🚨☀️🔥 How are your pets doing?

We’re in the middle of a heat wave—and it’s no fun for our furry friends! 🐶🐱. Extreme heat is life-threatening to animals because pets and livestock cannot cool themselves efficiently.

Make sure your pets stay safe and healthy by ALWAYS providing cool, clean water and adequate shade, and exercise early morning/late evening when its cooler💧. It’s one of the easiest ways to prevent heatstroke and dehydration.

Critical Safety Rules for Pets

Never leave pets in a parked car: Temperatures inside a vehicle can skyrocket to deadly levels in mere minutes, even with windows cracked or the car in the shade.

Test the pavement: Perform the 7-second touch test with the back of your hand on asphalt; if it is too hot for your skin, it will burn your pet's paw pads.

Modify walk times: Limit outdoor exercise and shift walks to the early morning or late evening after the sun sets.

Provide constant hydration and shade: Ensure fresh, cool water and deep shade are always available for outdoor animals.

Watch high-risk groups: Puppies, senior pets, overweight animals, and flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds like pugs face the highest risk of rapid overheating.

The dogs absolutely love going to MASCOTS pool during the summer months. This is such a treat for them.
