Although it is common to think that a dog wants to play when it greets its owner with an object in its mouth, veterinarians explain that the real reason is emotional regulation. According to experts, the animal uses stuffed animals, shoes, or toys as “calming objects” to channel the overexcitement and euphoria of the reunion.

By biting or holding something, the dog releases endorphins that help it reduce stress and regain balance, avoiding behaviors such as jumping or biting out of anxiety. For this reason, specialists recommend not taking the object away from them or forcing immediate play, but rather responding calmly to allow the pet to manage its emotions at its own pace.

🆘️‼️ Please help Cybercity the dog with skin cancer 😭🙏

This dog named Cybercity was first spotted in Cybercity Kepayan Perdana , Sabah, suffering from multiple wounds and unusual growths on his body. After enduring a weeks of distress and neglect, Cybercity was finally rescued and transported to Klinik Haiwan & Surgeri Tuaran for a comprehensive health check-up and treatment.

Upon arrival at the vet clinic , Cybercity underwent a thorough examination. The veterinary team conducted various tests, including blood work and physical assessments.

Cybercity has multiple wounds and growths, which were diagnosed as skin cancer. The blood tests revealed that Cybercity is positive for blood parasites and heartworm but Fortunately, his internal organs are in good condition, indicating that he is fit to undergo treatment.

Given the diagnosis, the veterinary team has recommended a treatment plan that includes four sessions of chemotherapy to address the skin cancer. Additionally, treatment for the blood parasites and heartworm will be initiated to ensure Cybercity's overall health and recovery.

The total cost for the full course of treatment is estimated at RM2040. This amount covers the 4 chemotherapy sessions, medications, full Blood test , sedation injection and Pet taxi fee (Tuaran - Kepayan - Tuaran).

We are reaching out to the community and animal lovers for assistance in raising the necessary funds for Cybercity's treatment. Your support can make a significant difference in his life and help him recover from his ailments.

Please consider donating to help Cybercity on his path to recovery. Your kindness can make a world of difference for this brave dog who has endured so much.

SOS FOR RUMAH PANGSA CATS!!!

This is an urgent appeal for LPPB to ensure that an adequate exit and entry ways are constructed in the upcoming total shut down of Rumah Pangsa building, Tanjung Aru, to allow the almost hundred stray cats left there to go out to look for food. They will starve to death if the enclosure is made without any means for them to find their way out of the compound. There are feeders who have appealed to LPPB for such a dispensation months ago, but LPPB 's response was not cooperative.
Please share as widely as possibly to all our SPCAKK followers to prevent these cats from dying in the most inhumane way.
