Can anything be done for a fearful dog?

I met Arni at the beginning of April. The main goal was to help him stop barking at the child when she crawled toward him.

Arni came from poor living conditions — he’s afraid of noises, strangers, sudden movements, children, and more.

What did we do? We set up a safe space where the child couldn’t reach him, so he could relax in her presence, and we started working on his fears and building his confidence.

In this video, you can see him exploring new objects and surfaces. It’s still scary for him, but he’s already moving more confidently, has stopped barking at the child, and can now walk past her on his own.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but I’m incredibly happy with the progress we’re already seeing ☺️
