🧡 Benny’s Story Part 1 — And Why Pasha ARC Needs You

Benny was found thrown away on a highway in Obrenovac — skinny, shaking, and full of parasites. His bloodwork was terrifying: severe anemia, high white cell count… and hundreds of heartworms clogging his arteries.

Bojan drove over an hour to reach him. Stayed 48 hours by his side. Fed him. Kept him alive.

Then came the surgery no weak dog should survive — Dr. Vlada went through Benny’s jugular to pull adult worms from his heart. Against all odds… Benny made it.

His story isn’t finished. And neither is our work.

In many Serbian cities, shelters are crowded, dirty, and don’t have proper medical care. Dogs are kept together with no hygiene or treatment. Most people outside Serbia don’t know this — but it’s the daily reality.

Shelters are often run by people who aren’t trained to care for animals. There’s no system, no rules, and no real oversight.

Sick and healthy dogs are kept together. Many don’t get food, treatment, or even basic cleaning. Without medical care or proper tracking, many dogs simply don’t make it out alive.

Pasha ARC gives animals real care: medicine, clean spaces, daily feeding, treatment, and love. We keep records, we rehabilitate, we adopt out, and we work with the Serbian community to build a kinder future for animals.

It was October 9, 2025 when we first introduced Bora. 
He was just a tiny 4‑month‑old puppy, hit by a car and left behind. His femur was broken, he could barely move, and he had no one.

Today… look at him now. Bora is living proof of what Pasha ARC stands for.

With your support, and with Bojan — our onsite manager in Belgrade — always on the lookout, Bora got a second chance.
We repurpose, reuse, fix, build, and create anything that can help the animals under ARC care.
