Why does your Persian cat always look noble and slightly offended at the same time? The answer isn't in the mirror—it's in the genes.
Persian cats have a unique facial bone structure—a flat nose bridge, upward-slanted eyes, and a tiny mouth—which makes them look permanently either annoyed or pouty.

ome cats are born with short fur, while others have flowing long hair. What determines this is a gene called FGF5.
Long-haired cats carry two copies of a recessive mutation, which allows their fur to keep growing—unlike short-haired cats, whose fur stops growing once it reaches a certain length.
Both parents are short-haired, but the kitten has long fur?
Don't be surprised—it's a genetic throwback from the grandparents. Each parent carries one copy of the recessive gene, and when the kitten gets both copies, the long coat appears.

Here is the English translation:
Some kittens arrive home full of energy, then suddenly fall ill weeks later. It's not because you didn't take good care of them—it's a "time bomb" buried in their genes.
Certain genetic diseases have an incubation period, such as Polycystic Kidney Disease or Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Symptoms aren't obvious when the cat is young, but as it ages, the defective gene slowly takes effect and the disease reveals itself.
That's why reputable breeders perform genetic testing on their breeding cats—not for show, but to prevent these hidden killers from being passed down to the next generation.

Cats are masters at hiding discomfort, so their hidden genetic health risks often go unnoticed until symptoms appear. From cardiac issues to kidney disorders, many inherited conditions develop silently for years. According to our database, the average disease detection rate across all tested cats reaches 34%, proving that when it comes to your cat’s health, foresight always beats surprise.

Some kittens are born completely white, but as they grow, their ears, face, paws, and tail gradually darken. This isn't an illness—it's their genes quietly at work.
