Noise reconnaissance at night
Late at night, the living room was silent, with only moonlight shining through the curtains onto the floor. The cat raised its head from the cat bed, ears erect, eyes alert.
The cat gently jumped off the floor, footsteps were silent, tail drooped, body close to the ground, moving in the direction of the sound.
It approached the kitchen door, sniffed the air gently with its nose, locked its eyes on a dark shadow next to the refrigerator, stopped and observed.
Suddenly, a slight "d**g" came from the direction of the cabinet, the cat quickly turned its head, arched its back, and its pupils shrank into thin lines.
It quietly approached the cabinet and gently patted the door panel with its paws, trying to "test" the source of the sound, but there was no response.
Suddenly, a plastic bag was blown by the wind, making a "rustling" sound, the cat immediately jumped up and pounced on the bag, and its tail exploded into a brush.
The cat patted the plastic bag with its paws, and after confirming that there was no other movement, it slowly let down its guard, its ears shook slightly, and began to breathe a sigh of relief.
It walked back to the center of the kitchen, looked around, and after confirming that there were no more abnormalities, it began to sniff the air again with its nose to ensure safety.
Finally, the cat jumped back to the cat bed, curled up comfortably, closed its eyes, and murmured softly: "Good night", but its ears remained slightly erect.
