Long post warning:
Feline Husbandry is not always rainbows and sunshine, and sometimes it can be downright hard, gut wrenching, and so stressful I can literally see the stress lines on my face. It's not for the feint of heart. But then there are those times that when you work so hard, wake up at all hours of the night, burn money like it's grown on trees, it's all worth it to see those perfect little baby faces so healthy and strong.
These three have been my little babies from the very start.
Two little pumpkin red boys and a very sassy Tortie/Torbie.
Their mother became very ill immediately after delivery, and had to be rushed to the vet to spend some time in the hospital. In the meantime, these sweet 3 babies have been my around the clock bottle drinkers. They are growing so good and strong, and I am so terribly attached to them. It was so hard at first, they didn't want a bottle and had to be syringe fed.
Praise God that their momma is doing great and is back home, and is taking care of them snuggling and loving on them again, but that nursing bonding time had been missed.
They get to have me bottle feel them full time until weaning! I know my heart is going to feel like it has been ripped out when it's time for them to meet their forever families, but it's also so joyful to know they are so loved but other people in the world too. In the meantime, l'm going to love them as much as I can and pray for a long, happy, and healthy life.
