Itā€™s summer time which means itā€™s BUSY BUSY around here!! Here are just some housekeeping announcements and reminders for everyone!

ā€¢We will be closed from July 27th-31st & August 24th-30th for our family vacation holidays. There will no boarding & daycare. Only grooming offered by Jess during the week of July 27th-31st.

ā€¢ Jess will be off starting on Aug 19th-mid October for surgery. We all wish her well and a speedy recovery! But this means for that time period, we will have limited appointments so please prebook or book now looking forward to those months! We book up very quickly and we donā€™t want to disappoint!!

ā€¢ We donā€™t have many more appointments left in August. We may be able to fit a few more dogs in the month of August. But please be aware, we are booking into early September.

ā€¢ lastly, please please make sure all your dogs are currently up to date on ALL their vaccinations before arriving!! We have had many dogs showing up lately with an expired vaccine(s) and we either have to turn a dog away or chase down the vet for records. We have a strict vaccine protocol in place so that all the dogs here have a positive and safe stay with us! We recommend sending us your dogā€™s vaccine records after their appointment at their vet. So itā€™s not forgotten!

With a heavy heart, we share the news that our beloved family dog, Hudson passed away on Tuesday, April 28th.

Many of you had the pleasure of getting a greeting from Hudson when you arrived at our place, or perhaps you seen him out in the yard. Hudson became a favourite around here with our clients. He absolutely loved greeting both our human and dog clients. Hudson had a way of making people fall in love with him right away, and just loved interacting with all of our clients. Usually by nudging a hand or just gently sitting in front of you to be petted.

Hudson also had a way with dogs. He would help the anxious/nervous dogs here. We saw his calm energy truly would help settle some dogs that perhaps werenā€™t use to being away from home. He really was one of a kind.

We share this news as we know many of you enjoyed seeing him, and he became not only an important part of our family, but of our business too. It will take time to get over the loss of this amazing dog. We will miss seeing him lounging around the reception or quietly lying outside ā€œsupervisingā€ all the younger dogs wrestling outside.

Rest in peace, Hudson. All your friends here will miss you dearly.
