-9 Lives needs your help with Feral Catsā¦.there are many everywhere, and although we are a West Hants based organization, we try to help other counties when we can. This requires an enormous amount of resources, from volunteers, traps, shelter options, coordination for trapping and surgery days. BUT, we cannot do any of this without financial help and donations.

Females endure 2-3 difficult pregnancies per year, struggling to sustain the babies, living in fear of predators and aggressive male cats. The end result is often the death of the kittens.
Males: Caught in of cycle of fighting other males for mates, resulting in severe wounds leading to infections and often death.
-There are kind hearted caregivers for some feral cat colonies, they try their very best.
-The problem starts with abandoning and dumping unwanted cats, population grows, those kittens grow up to be feral, on and on.
