Private Pony Farrier Service Horse/donkey/miniature hoof basic and corrective trimming I attended the Canadian Horseshoeing School in Ontario and graduated in January of 2012.

There I learned and practiced: basic trimming, corrective trimming, shoeing, forging, and borium. I also learned about corrective shoeing but did not get an opportunity to practice it. I have since sold all of my shoeing equipment as there was not enough business for it and I only do farrier work part time. I have and do trim horses, ponies, donkeys, and miniatures. I have experience with foundered animals and animals with limb deformities. Two of my clients are vets. I charge $40/trim and $1/km one way for mileage. Good evening everyone,

I have a client in the Vegreville area who would like to be on a regular 8-week trim schedule. Unfortunately my mileage from Wainwright to Vegreville is pricey. I'm looking for other clients in the Vegreville area or anywhere in between Wainwright and Vegreville that would like to be on an 8-week trim schedule.

Is there anyone in Kinsella, Viking, Bruce or Minburn, Innisfree, Lavoy or around Vegreville itself, that is interested in booking in with me on a regular basis?

About me:
My name Is Kirstin Reynolds. I completed Farrier training at the Canadian Horseshoing School in April of 2012 in Ontario. I promptly moved to Alberta.
I don't shoe as I didn't feel I had enough experience with it in my training to continue it on client horses. However, I can remove shoes prior to trimming if needed.
I specialize in miniature horses and donkeys with laminitis and founder, but I'm willing to trim anything with hooves as long as it's safe to work with. I have clients with everything from minis to drafts.
I trimmed part-time from April 2012 until a few years ago when business picked up enough to make it my full-time business.
I charge $45/miniature horse/donkey, $50/medium pony/light horse/standard or mammoth donkey, and $60/draft horse trims. I charge $1/km one way in mileage.
I am experienced working with founder, laminitis, white line disease, etc. as well as, arthritis, injuries and limb deformities.

Had a very productive week up in the Cold Lake/Bonnyville area. I trimmed 8 miniature horses, 10 miniature donkeys, 1 standard donkey, 1 mammoth donkey and 7 riding horses.
If I missed you this time around, I'm sorry. I will be back up October 29th until November 5th, possibly longer if those dates fill up.

Good afternoon friends,

Is anyone between Wainwright and Cold Lake area looking for a male kitten or two, or know of someone who is?

I'm heading up to Cold Lake tomorrow and can bring them with me and drop them off along the way.

I've got 2 tuxedo boys 4-5 months old nicknamed Barry and Arrow.

The other 2 are boys 3-4 months old, grey tabby nicknamed Chaos and solid black nicknamed Salem.

All have been in a makeshift catio in my living room for nearly a month. Eating wet and dry food, litter trained, being exposed to my dogs and adult cats. They are getting used to affection from people but aren't convinced they like it yet.

Let me know ASAP if I'm bringing any with me.

Good afternoon everyone.

In light of current fuel prices and the fact that I've been told by other farriers that my prices are too low and I'm under cutting them, I've decided it's time to increase my rates.

🔹️Miniature horses and donkeys (36"/9hh and under) routine maintenance trims will now be $45.
🔹️Saddle/light horses, ponies, and standard/mammoth donkeys routine maintenance trims will now be $50
🔹️Draft/heavy horses routine maintenance trims will now be $60
🔹️Goats/sheep routine maintenance trims will now be $30

❗️NOTE❗️ the above prices are assuming the animal is kept on a regular 6-8 week hoof maintenance schedule. Animals who have overgrowth due to lack of regular trims may have additional charges at my discretion based on either how over due their hooves are or how long the trim takes, because it's additional wear and tear on my tools and body.

🔹️Shoe removal will now be $10 per shoe.
🔹️Training if required due to behavioral issues will be a charge of $15/10min beyond the 45min the trim should take.
🔹️Mileage will remain at $1/km one way for now. If fuel prices continue to climb I may adjust this fee in the future.

Spent 2hrs working on this little donkey today.
Before anyone gets upset with the owner, they used to have a good farrier who trimmed her regularly, unfortunately he moved away without notice and didn't get them set up with another farrier. They have been trying to get a farrier ever since. Any they contacted either didn't respond or said they didn't do donkeys. They even had one show up and take one look at the donkey, then hopped back in his truck without a word and left.
I don't understand why so many farriers refuse to trim donkeys and minis.
This little miss is walking a little awkward right now, but will be feeling much better soon and she's already booked in for her next mani/pedi appointment with me.
She is foundered in the front hooves so they will never be completely normal, but I hope in time we can get the lateral twist out of both fronts and the left hind. Once she's walking more normally on them she will wear them more normally as well.

Just washed my chaps for the first time EVER! It's been 13 years... they were getting a bit stinky lol. Now 🤞they dry well and I didn't ruin them since they're $300+ to replace.
