GRATITUDE!

We are so thankful for the trust that all of our pet parents and referring vet clinics put in us everyday.

Our team is grateful for each other. Each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses and we hold each other up.

And last but not least we are grateful for the family and friends who have supported us from the start.

Doggle of the month !

Meet Bertie !! Bertie was very overweight when he was adopted. His family has done an excellent job of reducing him to normal weight with diet and an exercise plan.

His rehab goal to start was to be able to go up stairs and he nailed it.

He is receiving laser for his elbow dysplasia along with multi modal pain control and home exercises.

Doggle of the week! Winston the sweetest pug in the world thoroughly enjoyed his massage and laser treatment. He is also receiving exercise therapy as part of his treatment for his arthritis and weight loss plan.

Update: You never know when it’s your last . This was our last trial, our last runs. I didn’t know we would have to say goodbye so soon. Rest well sweet beast.

Did you know that Dr. Amanda competes in dog agility with her dog Willow ? She started in dog sport when she was 10 and though she took some time off for university she picked it up again in 2007.

Willow and Amanda recently competed at the BC/Yukon Regional Championships and qualified for Nationals. It’s in Quebec so they won’t be travelling but are excited that they made the cut. They placed 7th in their age/size group. Willow is a senior so she is jumping a lower height to help her play longer.

Great video on the easily signs of arthritis. There is so much we can do if caught early on. In later stages the dog has already developed compensatory muscle patterns that need to be unwound. If we catch things early on we can prevent these patterns with focused exercises.

These patterns can be prevented with early referral BEFORE they are in pain. Get them strong young!!! That said if you have a dog that is already there we can help reverse these compensation patterns.

Doggle of the week!

Doggle of the week is Mini! We love her little tongue hanging out.

Mini had a very acute onset of some neck pain or cervical disk disease
The laser was able to give her some quick pain relief and she was already moving and feeling better within 24 hours.
