Honoring communication:

If I can safely accommodate what my friends are asking for, I will.

When Karl arrived at the trail today, he was very clear he did not want to hike. Instead of forcing him, I respected his boundary.
Since it was completely safe to do so, Karl rested in the van while the rest us hit the trail.

Respecting and supporting his decision to rest honors his agency while maintaining the trust built between us. ♡

My biggest pet peeve while out hiking is the amount of discarded p**p bags and garbage on the trails.
When it comes to our natural environment, we all need to do our part. It takes little effort to pick up garbage and take it out with you - even if it is not yours.
Please don't make me come to your house 🫠😉

1-2-3 Pattern Game!

Created by Leslie McDevitt, this simple counting pattern builds rhythm, predictability, and focus when you’re out on walks.

How does it work?

1) Predictability.
Your dog knows the game and what happens when you say 3!

2) Reduces Stress.
The rhythm helps create a safe, expected routine.

3) Focus.
Instead of pulling, lunging, or barking your dog learns to engage with you and the game!

📢The 90s want their catchphrase back!
Ditch talking to the hand ✋️

🗣 Build clear communication: the marker word will tell them exactly what they did right.

👁👁Better focus: They watch you, not your hand pocket.

💰 Don't buy: Instead of inadvertently luring, your marker word is used to signal a reward!
