Friends and Ferals Cat Rescue My name is Brogan and I rescue cats in the area of Tweed, ON🇨🇦
My goal is to reduce the number of stray & feral cats in our community. Follow along for more!

I provide TNR services for ferals, and with help of foster homes, adopt out the friendly ones. My name is Brogan, and I am the self proclaimed "Tweed Cat Lady". I started Friends and Ferals in 2021 as sort of a "hobby" to try and help reduce the stray cats in my neighborhood. Since then, with the help of my community and other willing hands, I have been able to help over 200+ cats/kittens. My main

goal for Friends and Ferals is focusing on TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) services for the feral cats of Tweed and surrounding areas. I spay and neuter as many stray cats as possible and find homes for the ones that are adoptable. I rely on donations to raise the money to fund spays/neuters, for food and other veterinary costs that come associated with running a rescue. I will always continue to advocate for feral cats and do as much as I can to help the many felines in our community. Friends and Ferals is always looking for fosters, adopters, and donations of ANY kind (not just monetary). Any and all support is greatly appreciated. For any inquiries, or if you would like to make a donation, emails or e-transfers can be sent to [email protected]

Handsome Panda is still waiting for his family to find him🖤

He is so sweet and affectionate. He loves attention and loves nothing more than being picked up and held like a baby 😂🥹. To think he was living outside just weeks ago is crazy! This boy SO deserves a forever home. Could that be you?! 🏡❤️

Introducing Habanero, Jalapeño, and Brian — three little boys with big personalities!❤️

These are the kittens were trapped in Tweed just a few weeks ago, and what a transformation they’ve made!! I’m not gunna lie… when they first arrived in care, they were pretty scary little dudes.. 🌶️ But thanks to the patience and dedication of their amazing foster, they have blossomed into sweet, playful, affectionate kittens who now love attention!

They’ll be receiving their first vaccines in the coming weeks and will soon be ready to find their forever homes!🏡

We would love to see Habanero and Jalapeño adopted together, as they are quite bonded to one another. Of course, if someone is feeling extra ambitious, we’d be thrilled to see all three boys stay together!🤞🏼🩵

If you are interested in these boys when they are ready, please send me a message!

We are honoured to have been chosen as the very first organization to benefit from Jump For A Cause! 🐾

Created by Trista Shaw, Jump For A Cause is a community fundraiser similar to Jump Rope for Heart, but focused on supporting local organizations.💜 Their first fundraiser will be raising money for Friends and Ferals Cat Rescue from July 1st to September 26th, ending with a big Jump-a-thon event.

We are super grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what this amazing community can accomplish together. Every dollar raised will help us continue providing vet care, spay/neuter services, and support for cats in need.

Interested in participating? Check out the flyer below for details and contact information!!

🐾 KITTENS — YOU WANT ’EM, WE GOT ’EM! 🐾

Ready to go and made with a little extra sass, I’d like to introduce Paige, Ciara, Mia, and Gabby! 💕

These girls had a feral mama (Lindsay Hubbard), so while they are sweet little kittens, they’re still learning that people aren’t so scary🥺. They can be nervous in new situations and will need patient adopters willing to give them the time and space to settle in and build confidence.

The good news? Every day they get a little braver!! They’re playful, curious, and absolutely adorable. With a little patience and a lot of love, we think they’re going to grow into wonderful companions.

🐈 Meet the girls:
🖤 Mia – Black female
🖤 Gabby – Black female
🧡🖤 Ciara – Tortoiseshell female
🤍🧡🖤 Paige – Calico female

Because they’re kittens and love having a buddy to wrestle, chase, and cuddle with, they will need to be adopted in pairs or into a home with another young, friendly cat.

These girls are;
-FIV/FeLV Negative 🩸
-Vaccinated for their 1st FVRCP 💉
-Dewormed 🪱
-Treated for fleas/ticks

💲Current Adoption fee: $175 each*

These babies aren’t the “climb into your lap on day one” type of kittens—but for the right family, watching them learn to trust and blossom will be incredibly rewarding. ❤️

Interested in giving one (or two!) of these sweet girls a home? Send me a message! 🐾💕

One of our biggest goals this year was to focus more on TNR — and thanks to all of your support, that is exactly what we’ve been doing. 🖤

Here are just a few of the faces of TNR from some of our recent efforts. Half of these cats were females, and it’s hard not to think about how many more kittens would have been born on the streets of Tweed this summer if these cats hadn’t been trapped and fixed. Every single surgery makes a difference.

TNR is one of the most important parts of rescue work. It helps stop the cycle before more cats are born into hardship, suffering, and survival mode. It truly takes a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for this community. Because you care, these cats are getting the help they need. Thank you for continuing to support us, share our posts, donate, foster, trap, transport, and cheer us on. We couldn’t do this without you.

If anyone would like to donate toward our ongoing TNR efforts, it would be so appreciated. Funds are starting to dwindle very quickly with the constant influx of surgeries and the slower pace of adoptions lately (not a bad problem to have — it just means we need to keep raising funds for these kitties!).

Any amount is appreciated!🫶🏼 Donations can be sent to:
