🐾 Thank You, West Hants — What a Wonderful Day!

West Hants, you truly made our day. We kicked things off in Windsor, where it turned into a big nail‑trim morning and we also had the sweetest teddy clip appointment. Later in the day, we headed over to Brooklyn for a gorgeous lion clip on an absolute superstar of a kitty.

To everyone who welcomed us into your homes and trusted us with your cats — thank you. We adored meeting each of your kitties. Everyone was so well‑behaved today!

We know Windsor isn’t far from Halifax, and many of you already make the trip into the city for grooming. But for the cats who don’t travel well (or the humans who prefer a calmer, in-home option), we’re here to help.

Max is such a sweetheart. This older gentleman doesn’t keep up with grooming the way he used to, so he always is wonderfully hairy and we think he is adorable.

His white speckles around his eyes give him that wise, distinguished look, and he is every bit as gentle as he appears.

We love having him in for his seasonal de‑sheds.

Nina stuck her tongue out the moment we made a little duck noise to get her attention. She was not impressed, and it was absolutely hilarious.

She did fantastic for her summer cut! Her mom says she zooms around afterward and feels amazing, and with a thick plush coat like hers, I don’t blame her for getting a bit warm or sluggish.

Nina was wonderful, and we always love seeing her.

Our rates reflect a premium, luxury feline‑exclusive service, and here’s why:

- CERTIFIED FELINE MASTER GROOMER. We are one of the very few CFMGs in Nova Scotia. This certification required proper education and nine intense exams (4 written, 5 practical), plus we travelled out of province to Saskatchewan for personal private instruction under a CFMG. We’ve invested heavily in our training so your cat receives the safest, highest‑quality grooming possible. We are not “just another groomer.”

- CONVENIENCE. We come to you. A salon can groom 5–7 cats a day. We can groom 3–4 because of travel, setup, and teardown at each home. Our pricing reflects the time and service limitations of in home grooming.

- GAS AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
With the recent gas spikes, driving all over Nova Scotia has become significantly more expensive. We also maintain our vehicle far more often than the average driver: oil changes every 2–3 months and full checkups every 4 months to keep travel safe and reliable.

Price Breakdown (Before Tax)
So you can clearly see what you’re truly paying:
Short‑Haired De‑Shed → $90 (Before tax: $77.40)
Long‑Haired De‑Shed → $100 (Before tax: $86)
Lion Clip → $140 (Before tax: $120.40)
Teddy Clip → $150 (Before tax: $129)

These rates are standard for Nova Scotia. In fact, some groomers look at our prices and ask why they’re so low — they’re not. They’re simply fair for our province and our demographic.We also use your water and electricity, which helps keep our pricing from being even higher.

If our prices feel too high, that’s okay — we may not be the right fit for everyone. We want clients who value quality, safety, education, and feline‑exclusive expertise, not the cheapest option. Your cat’s wellbeing is always our priority.

She rocks her summer cut every year, and her mom absolutely loves her lion tail. We always ask before the groom whether you want the lion tail or to keep it natural - your preference is everything.

We’re excited to share that today, Meowtasia has officially switched our booking system from Square to Moego.

This upgrade is a big step forward for our mobile, in‑home grooming service, and we want to help you understand exactly why we’re making the change and how it benefits you and your cats.

🐾 Why We’re Moving From Square to Moego
Square (our old system)
Square has been wonderful for payments, and we’ll continue using it for that because it’s fast, secure, and reliable. However, Square’s scheduling tools are limited for a mobile business. It doesn’t allow us to:
- Control our route planning
- Show availability based on your location
- Organize multi‑pet households efficiently
- Track individual cats under one client profile
These limitations make scheduling more time‑consuming for both you and us.

Moego (our new system)
Moego is designed specifically for grooming businesses, especially mobile ones, which means it gives us tools that Square simply can’t.

Here’s what Moego brings to the table:

You’ll only see appointment times available in your area, helping us plan efficient routes and reduce travel time.

🐱 Individual Cat Profiles
Each cat will now have their own profile under your main account. This lets us track grooming history, notes, preferences, and future appointments with much more accuracy.

Booking for multiple cats becomes smoother, clearer, and more organized.

Our First Summer County Tour Was a Hit! ☀️🐾

Cumberland, you showed up in the best way. Our very first Summer County Tour was fully booked, and we had an amazing day meeting so many new feline friends.

We started in Oxford, made our way through Springhill, and wrapped up the day in Amherst, grooming 5 beautiful cats and loving every second of it.

For context, we typically groom 3–4 cats a day when you factor in service time and travel between homes, so this was a big, exciting day for us.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed Meowtasia into your homes and trusted us with your kitties. We’re so grateful you gave us a shot and made our first tour date such a success.
