šŸ’› Travel Surcharge Update šŸ’›

Thanks to our recent price increase, we are thankfully able to reduce our travel surcharges. Our longā€‘term goal is to remove them entirely, but with gas prices constantly changing, we still need to adjust these fees as needed.

Because of the upgraded grooming prices, weā€™ve been able to permanently lower the travel surcharge. It will not increase again unless regular gas exceeds $2.00/L. Your support has allowed us to stabilize our pricing and offset the unpredictable fuel costs that come with mobile grooming.

Here are our current and permanent travel surcharge prices until we are able to remove them entirely, within our service area:

0 mins - 30 mins: included in service cost
31 mins - 40 mins: $20
41 mins - 50 mins: $30
51 mins - 60 mins: $40
61 mins - 70 mins: $50
71 mins - 80 mins: $60

Our ocean mineral bath removes excess oils without stripping the coat. Once those oils are gone, the clippers glide effortlessly and cut evenly ā€” no snagging, no patchiness, no dull finish. Just a beautifully blended teddy look.

We are one of the very few cat groomers in Nova Scotia who provide proper full grooms. Many groomers skip the bath entirely and just do the haircutā€¦ but is that really doing justice for your cat?

Sweet Sophie had quite a bit of matting on her belly, behind, and lower back/hind quarters. For her comfort, we opted for our Tiger Clip. It is a slightly longer alternative to the lion clip. Itā€™s perfect for clients who prefer a softer, plush look instead of the fully shaved style. Her tail was left natural, and her mane kept short (or removed entirely depending on preference).

Sophie was a little sassy during the mat removal, and honestly, I donā€™t blame her. Matting can be uncomfortable. Sheā€™s a great example of why keeping your cat on a regular grooming schedule is so important. When grooming is consistent, itā€™s not associated with pain, and cats learn to enjoy the process.

The only thing that keeps cats from loving grooming is consistency.

S**i was such a sweet boy! Not a swat, not a bite, just a little sad that he couldnā€™t snack during his groom. The moment he was finished, he walked straight to his food bowl like, ā€œI deserve thisā€¦ and that was relaxing.ā€

When a cat chooses to eat immediately after grooming, itā€™s one of the best signs that they feel calm, safe, and happy.

S**i had mats on his belly and behind, so we gave him a gentle belly shave. The belly is a very sensitive area to demat, and shaving is often the most comfortable, painā€‘free option. After that, he received a full deshed and blowout to help reduce matting over the next few months.

We donā€™t just fix problems. We prevent them by keeping cats on a regular grooming routine.
