We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic collision near the Ontario Police College Police College that claimed the life of a Durham Regional Police Service Constable in Training and left another recruit in life-threatening condition.
Our thoughts are with the families, loved ones, classmates, instructors, friends, and colleagues affected by this heartbreaking loss. We also keep the injured recruit in our thoughts and hope for their recovery.
On behalf of 20,000 RCMP Members, the National Police Federation extends our deepest condolences to everyone at Durham Regional Police Service as they mourn this profound loss. We join them in asking that the privacy of the families and all those affected be respected during this incredibly difficult time.
