Canada Day is full of celebrations… but for many dogs, it’s one of the most stressful nights of the year. 🎆🐾

Fireworks can trigger fear, panic, and even dangerous escape attempts.

Summer is beautiful. Heat stroke isn’t. 🐾

Dogs can’t sweat like we do — panting is their only real way to cool down, and when it’s not enough, things can go wrong fast.

Swipe to learn:
→ The early warning signs most owners miss
→ A simple body check you can do anywhere
→ Why giving water too fast can actually be dangerous
→ Where (and where NOT) to wet your dog to cool them down
→ What to do in a real emergency

This isn’t meant to scare you — it’s meant to prepare you. A few minutes of knowledge can make all the difference on a hot day.

Some dogs hear “gentle.”

Some dogs hear “GO FASTER.”

Repost if your dog hears “gentle” as a suggestion, not a rule

but they make our lives whole.”

Sophie —

We met Sophie & Vicki 15 years ago,

Sophie became a “regular” at daycare
and quickly found a way into the
pack and our hearts.

Her temperament was wonderful and
she was full of light.

We say good-bye to Sophie . . . .

Though no longer by our sides, forever
in our hearts.
