Want to become a dog trainer? Our internship is back!

The When Hounds Fly Internship is a free 10-workshop program that teaches positive reinforcement dog training from the ground up. Workshops are taught by our founder Andre, KPA Faculty, over 10 Sundays starting November 15. Interns also assist in real classes at our Toronto locations and get graded feedback on written and video homework.

The program is built for people who already have a full-time job and want to start working in the profession. Dog walkers, daycare staff, and people from completely different fields are all welcome. You'll need a dog you can train and the time to commit to every workshop.

Many of our graduates go on to become When Hounds Fly instructors.

Reactive Dog Group Class at When Hounds Fly offers reactive dog owners in Toronto a 7 week program designed to help you help your dog's reactivity through positive reinforcement techniques.

Our next cohort starts August 15. Limited spots available!

Building on our 16 years+ experience helping Toronto reactive dog owners, we've created the structure and curriculum designed to help you reduce your reactive dogs sensitivity to dog triggers, improving your daily quality of life especially on leash walks.

Controlled settings allow you and your dog to get the reps in practicing key skills such as Look at That with other dogs.

By commiting to a 7 week program, we start slow and gradually build up you and your dog's skills.

This course is staffed by two trainers, so you'll get semi private coaching and attention.

Here, each team has their own certified trainer coaching them rep by rep.

Because of the group structure, you'll pay almost half the cost of the equivalent private lessons. Plus, you'll always have other dogs in class to practice with!

Week after week, the dogs new skills grow and old patterns of barking and lunging diminish.

So much so we're often surprised by the final class... Dogs can chill and even go for a walk together! Tears are shed 😭
