We are looking forward to the Kingston Rd Fall Fest on Saturday. We have some kittens, large and small (the smallest of all being Mosey) eager for a forever home. They’ve waited long enough!

Is there anything cuter than a ginger baby on a bunk bed? August, you are all that. Though your sisters are on our laps right now, which is also pretty purrfect.

Well, take a look at these little darlings! But then head to our website to check out see our adoptable kittens, as these little guys are still just a bit to young to go. We have Chewy and Nibbler who just celebrated their 1st birthday 🎉 and want nothing more than a place to call home. We also have sweet shy mama April and her kiddos May, June and July….go take a look! Spread the word!

BIRD!! But also, look at those splotches, stripes and swirls! Except Nibbler, full sleek black!

Seeing our kitten room bunk beds in use is a delight! What could be cuter than imagining them discussing who is taking the top bunk? In this case, Munch, with Nibbler taking the cozy lower bunk. Munch and Nibbler would both love to test out YOUR bed, even if you don’t have fun bunks.

Munch has perfected the soulful stare. Look at those gorgeous green eyes! He is our shyest foodie kitten, cautious and gentle. If you can get your hands on him, he accepts it and quietly likes it. He would thrive in a patient and routine home with a confidently social cat, either one of his sibs (he is often seen hanging out with Chewy or Kibble), or a resident cat. He needs a chance to settle in and shine.

Our Story

Cats Cradle Toronto was started in 2020 by a mother-daughter-daughter trio who saw a space within the existing animal rescue community for a kitten specific rescue in the east end of the city with top notch fostering support, engaging purr-fect matching efforts (kitten Tinder anyone?) and conscientious adoption facilitation.

We are new to this. And what we are now isn’t what we will be in a while, with your help. And when we say we are new to this, we mean new to formal animal rescue. We are not at all new to loving animals and welcoming animals in need into our lives. We are certainly not new to taking care of kittens, including the teenie tinies. People find us. They know we are suckers for the kittens. And we’ve been foster successes, and once a foster fail...with a sweet girl who took 6 months to mend from an accident and stayed for ten years. Our foster tally so far, is about 20 kittens, some independently found, others through area rescues.

We have so much to learn, and we are eager to work with everyone in the Toronto animal rescue community, but we do know some things already! And what we know right now is that we are dedicated to providing the BEST care possible to kittens who come our way. We will do everything we can to train, support and honour our fostering partners so they are able to raise kittens ready to be their BEST little selves in their new homes. We will do our BEST to prepare our adoptive homes to make a life-long commitment to our kittens. And we are committed to telling our kittens’ stories to the BEST of our ability so they are able to go into their new homes as quickly as possible.

We also know that working with kittens is expensive and exhausting (physically and emotionally). Kittens often need kitten formula and always need specialized food. They need specific kitty litter, they need vet care. And they need these things at all hours, day and night. Kinda like human babies. All the money, all the time. So we will be leaning on our community and supporters for help. We will keep you posted.
