New Term of K9 Nose Work classes starts on April 28th here in Summerland.
I'm in the middle of trying to finalize the schedule. I have room to welcome 3-4 new students and have just a couple of teams interested in both Level 1 and Level 2 . . . that means I need at least one or 2 more students to be interested in Level 1 OR Level 2 so I can finalize which class level to offer (*unfortunately I can only offer one not both).
Level 1 (Intro to K9 Nose Work) Classes are for dogs brand new to the sport. We start building problem solving skills, independent searching, and make sure the dog is enthusiastic about the game all while introducing the varying elements in scent detection sport: Containers, Interiors, Exteriors, and Vehicles.
Level 2 (Intro to Odor) Classes are for dogs that have either completed our Level 1 classes OR have a dog already on odor looking to solidify their foundational skills. If you have a dog that's already on odor, but could use some more value building for target odor OR if it's just been awhile since you've played nosework then this class is great for you. We'll be continuing to build awesome search dogs, but also building value for target odor and teaching the beginnings of handler skills (we start focusing more on handler skills in Level 3).

This will likely be the last set of K9 Nose Work Classes here until September (but stay tuned as I MAY offer some drop-ins for Level 3 or 4).
