Frogs on the Rock

This reticulata sat out at the front allowing me to observe it for a few minutes today, was a very nice surprise! They aren’t shy, but usually they move around a lot so usually I’m able to view them for bits at a time. Absolutely gorgeous frog! So small that it is difficult to take a photo of them with my phone camera.

First ranitomeya reticulata tadpole that is almost ready to hit land! Fingers crossed I can raise it successfully, as these are known to be a bit more difficult due to their tiny size. I’ve got lots of springtails ready, since it is too small even for melanogaster fruit flies.

Another species is breeding! Ranitomeya variablilis 'southern' transported 6 tadpoles for their first clutch. A really beautiful and fun species that I am happy are producing!
