🍄 A little update from Fable & Fungi Co.

We've been a little quieter than usual this past week while focusing on family and some important appointments.

We're grateful to share that we received positive news, and after months of uncertainty, we're finally able to move forward with some long-awaited summer travel plans.

While life has been busy, the grow room hasn't slowed down. These grain jars are well on their way to becoming future harvests, and we're excited about what's ahead.

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and for following along on this journey. We'll be sharing more updates from the grow room—and a few adventures from the road—in the weeks ahead.

I wanted to share that I will no longer be attending the St. Albert Farmers' Market this season.

This decision comes with a lot of mixed emotions, as attending the St. Albert Farmers' Market was something I had been looking forward to for a long time. However, after my first market and some honest reflection about my family's current needs, and the uncertainty that comes with a baby facing medical challenges, I realized I need to focus my time and energy closer to home right now.

That said, Fable & Fungi is still very much active! I will continue growing mushrooms and offering products through direct sales, subscriptions, and local delivery/pickup options.

I am incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and excitement so many of you have shown for my small business. Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support local.

While this chapter looks a little different than I originally planned, I'm excited to keep growing and sharing mushrooms with all of you. ❤️🍄

This tote of spent mushroom substrate had already given me a harvest and was headed for its next life in the compost pile. But before it got there, the mycelium had one last surprise in store.

No special treatment. No fruiting room. Just a garage tote and a determined network of fungi refusing to call it quits.

The forest is full of unfinished stories.

Clouds gather without deciding whether they will rain. Paths disappear into the trees before revealing where they lead. Seeds rest beneath the soil, carrying secrets of what they may one day become.

The forest does not seem troubled by any of it.

Each morning, the chickadees begin their songs before the day has told them what it holds. The creek continues downstream without knowing what waits beyond the next bend. The deer steps into the meadow without first asking what lies beyond it.

Nothing waits for certainty.

Life unfolds in the midst of unanswered questions.

What is hidden will reveal itself in time.

Until then, today's birds still sing while the horizon keeps its secrets.

Tomorrow will reveal itself eventually.

Today is already here
