We are weeks away from freezing temperatures hitting our rescue partners in Manitoba... And we're looking for a way to help in a big way.
A flight to Vancouver loaded with crates and a transport truck to get them to us...

We know who to reach out to for the flights, but need a volunteer/volunteers to drive the truck...

Snow Angels 2.0!!

To every foster family who opens their home, every adopter who opens their heart, every donor who helps cover vet bills and full bellies, every volunteer who gives their time, and every person who shares our posts, cheers us on, and believes in what we do — THANK YOU!

Because of you, over 400 dogs have been given a second chance at life, love, and a family of their own.

From our Riverhouse family to yours, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, full bellies, and grateful hearts. And if you're celebrating with a rescue dog by your side, give them an extra hug from us.

The last 2 puppies from the "Apple Litter" have been adopted. It's always so much fun to see new families welcoming a puppy into the mix... Congrats!!

Mitzy

Small in size, HUGE in personality! This clever little girl is full of charm, confidence, and character. She’s one of those puppies who is so hard to capture in photos and videos because they simply don’t do her justice! You really have to meet her in person to appreciate just how special she is.
25lbs of brilliance!!

SPARTAN

It’s hard to describe just how incredibly soft this little guy is—both in his unbelievably soft coat and his even softer heart. With his short, stocky legs and happy, playful personality, he’s impossible not to love. He adores everyone he meets, which makes it hard to believe that when he first arrived, he was absolutely terrified of people. Watching him blossom into the sweet, confident, people-loving puppy he is today has been so special. He’s smart, playful, affectionate and ready to bring a whole lot of happiness wherever he goes.

Harper… she’s back!

Through absolutely no fault of her own, Harper is heading back to foster care. Her adopters have experienced unforeseen health issues that have made it impossible for them to continue caring for her, and we’re stepping in to make sure this sweet girl gets the fresh start she deserves.

Harper is adorable, smart as a whip, cuddly, busy and full of personality. She loves playing fetch and will happily initiate a game of tug by bringing you her rope and giving you the cutest little nose bop. She has never had an accident in the house and sleeps 10–11 hours straight through the night in her crate.

She’s been enjoying 1.5–2 hour morning walks while working on her leash skills, and she still has plenty of energy left afterward! Harper is a wonderful companion for an active family who will appreciate her playful spirit, intelligence and endless enthusiasm.
