Cats of King St

Cats of King St I foster and socialize feral cats for adoption. Willing to transport cats across southern NB. Also able to transport to the Ottawa area if it's the right fit.

Ghost is available for adoption! This eight year old spayed female feral spent her life on the streets and now is enjoying the amenities of an indoor cat, especially lap time! She still behaves like a feral with others, skittish and hiding, but whoever adopts her just needs to make friends at her pace and soon enough you'll have this puddle of cuddles loving you to bits. She even takes medication better than my resident cat, barely even blinks. (Currently treating an ear yeast bloom with daily drops, won't take long to fix it.) If she and my resident cat didn't hate each other with a burning passion, I would have already been a foster fail with this one... super sweet! Must be an only pet. DM me for more details!

Who wants to adopt a furry bowling ball with giant eyes? Ghost is an eight(ish)-year old, spayed, former-feral who decided she was done with the streets because there are no pillows. After six months of indoor living she's now the cat version of a bowling ball that sprouted a face, and she is absolutely ok with it!

As a former feral Ghost tends to feel threatened by other animals so she needs a home where she can be an only pet. After a period of adjustment to you and your home (and some trust building) she will be a wonderful companion and cuddle buddy. She loves to play, adores catnip and has a soft, thick coat that makes her very velvety.

DM me if you'd like to know more about her!

When you want to get a vid of your foster cat being cute and instead she's stunned by the camera and freezes up. 🙄

Ghost is available for adoption... 8 yr old spayed female, former feral who, once you gain her trust, will want to spend all of her time cuddling with you (and eating). Must be an only pet. Eats solid food with her "hands" like a raccoon (a skill I think she learned by watching the local urban raccoons). Made of velvet and dark matter.

DM me if you'd like to know more about Ghost!

Say hi to Ghost - this eight year old spayed female is currently available for adoption! (DM me for details.)
One of the best parts of adopting a feral is all the firsts... I was the first person Ghost trusted enough to touch her. Yours could be the first bed she sleeps on, you could be the first to rub her belly, yours could be the last home she'll ever need. She's sweet and smart and just wants to cuddle with someone she trusts... is it you?

Update on Scamp... he's grown into such a big young man now! Just had his neutering surgery so now he can spend his life focused on getting fat like his adoptive siblings. Enjoys car rides and sleeping on faces.

Another successful adoptee... meet Lucy! Yet another of Ghost's kittens; half sister/niece of QTip (feral cat family trees are twisty). QTip's adoptive family wanted to get a buddy for Q, but they also really wanted a cuddler. Boy did Lucy ever deliver!

Spay and neuter your pets!

Available for adoption: Ghost (8 yrs, female, spayed)
Idiosyncrasy: Insists on playing soccer with chunks of cheese... only cheese. It all gets eaten once the match is over.
DM me for more details on this super cuddly, brilliant and weirdly heavy for her size (made of dark matter?) little ball of fur.

Not all feral fosters end happily. This is Meatball (a.k.a. The Saddest of the Sad Meatballs). He came to the feeding station one night very near death - got him to the vet and discovered he had FIV (which is pretty common in male feral cats in particular). He survived a surgery to remove a brutally infected ingrown claw, but his FIV flared up after his neutering surgery and he just wasn't strong enough to fight the infection; lost him a few days later.

Please opt to adopt, and when you do, please please please spay and neuter your pets! If we all did these two simple things it wouldn't take long before there were no more homeless domesticated animals living such difficult lives.
