Amazing Horse Country Relational Horsemanship: Positive and Practical
Trail, Obstacle, Starting, Liberty and more. Scott's philosophy is simple: the horse only has one job.

It's a job the horse is instinctively great at and can take pride in. That job isn't to be submissive, obedient, nor does it require control. It can be assisted with a soft approach. That job is simply to follow. And thus, the onus is on us to inspire our followers; to provide them not only with the tools to do the job but provide exceptional leadership in a way they naturally understand it. In Sc

ott's style, training and riding become a positive and successful experience for both horse and rider; a journey in which we master skills as trusted leaders and great communicators. Scott offers a unique understanding of relational horsemanship blended with a passion for the outdoors. It's a successful combination which has Scott sought out to assist with wild horse programs, equine assisted learning, cowboy challenge associations, trail riding clubs and more. His sold out clinics continuously earn praise from individuals and riding organizations alike.

Yeah.

We don’t preprogram horses here. We don't teach buttons. That’s old‑school thinking.

Horses aren’t machines to be operated; they’re partners capable of incredible precision when the relationship is real.

Belle (pictured) has a way of asking riders to rise to the moment. Not through pressure, and not through cues — but through presence.

What we build instead is a connection where your horse wants to follow. Where they choose you. Where their natural ability meets your leadership, and something remarkable happens.

Belle reminds us of that every ride. She challenges us, not to control her, but to become someone worth following.

Try it.

Any horse. Any rider. Every partnership welcome.

Some clinics require the “right” horse, the “right” tack, the “right” experience.

🐴😄 Here, we just ask that you show up as you are. Easy, right?

So trust me, you and your horse will fit right in.

Because you listened.
Because you showed up with patience instead of pressure, clarity instead of force.
Because you created a space where they could try, hesitate, breathe, and try again.
When a horse is offered that kind of leadership, they don’t just respond — they rise.
They step into courage they didn’t know they had.
And somewhere in that rise, the line between horse and human softens,
until you’re moving together - not as two beings negotiating,
but as one partnership becoming something bigger than either of you alone.

** Partnership isn’t a destination. It’s the courage to show up. ** - Scott

Not just once, not just on the good days — but again and again, from both sides of the conversation.

For our horses, partnership takes courage because it asks them to be vulnerable in a world where vulnerability can feel dangerous. They need to believe they can express their worry, their hesitation, their uncertainty — and that we will listen. When a horse feels safe enough to show us their anxiety, that’s not a setback. That’s a gift. It means they believe in us.

And for us, partnership takes courage because it asks us to lead without knowing everything. It asks us to be present, to be honest, to be learners as much as leaders. To show up with empathy instead of ego. To offer clarity instead of pressure. To be steady enough that our horse can lean on us, and humble enough that we can listen to them.

Over time, something beautiful happens. The edges between “horse” and “person” start to blur. The conversation becomes fluid. The movement becomes shared. The trust becomes mutual. And one day you realize you’re not two separate beings trying to figure each other out.

You’ve become a horseperson — a single, connected team moving through the world together.
