Ottawa Dressage Festival 2026 recap ✨

It’s always a pleasure coming to this show—not only for the exciting atmosphere and smoothly run event, but also for the chance to catch up with so many familiar faces and friends!

Fabienna GV and I competed at the Open Prix St. George level for the first time. Too many mistakes kept us from seeing the scores we were hoping to get but I was thrilled with the feel she gave me each ride and the improvement seen in our scores each day. A huge thank you to Ute Busse and Jaimey Irwin for their guidance, support, and expertise throughout the weekend.

Bee Richardson’s Perfexxion certainly lived up to his name, earning scores well into 70%! So happy with his development and progress both inside and outside of the ring!Thank you, Ute, for all your help and guidance throughout the journey, and thank you to Bee and Jon for your trust and support.

A special thank you to the entire Sonnenhof team and my mom for helping making weekends like these happen! As well, a big thank you to Megan at Halt Square for all her help leading up to and at the show to ensure I was feeling my best, so I could ride my best!

It’s been a LONG winter, but the warmer weather finally has us feeling motivated and excited for the upcoming season ☀️🐎

Here’s a little sneak peek of Fabienna and I’s recent training sessions. We’re still a long way from perfection, but I couldn’t be happier with this mare’s progress and how hard she tries every single ride. Excited to keep building and see where this season takes us.

He has a gentle temperament and expressive yet easy to sit gaits, making him a suitable match for adult amateurs or juniors looking to develop up the levels together. Carlichi has started schooling third level movements and would thrive continuing his development in a training program with his new rider.

With 🇨🇦 Thanksgiving weekend here, I can’t help but feel extremely grateful! I am so thankful for the incredible horses, students, clients and team I am lucky enough to work with!

I feel very grateful to have been able to qualify and compete both Fabienna GV and Perfexxion at the Canadian Eastern National Championships this weekend.

Both horses outdid themselves to come away champions in their respective divisions (FEI Young rider and Training Open)

Fabienna made my last young rider test one to remeber giving me the best feeling in the ring. I cannot put into words how much this horse has influenced not only my young rider career but myself as a horse women and rider.

The most heartfelt thank you to Bee Richardson for trusting me with Prince’s training and competing. So proud of the progression in confidence and rideability this young gelding has made in just his first show season.

None of this would be possible without the guidance and support from my coach Ute Busse, thank you! As well the biggest thank you to my parents, barn family, and supportors.

Thank you Equestrian Canada and Equico quebec for hosting a well run and enjoyable event!
