Meet Penny! 🤍 She will be up for adoption soon! 🦮

☀️Penny comes from Cairo, Egypt and unfortunately, was abused as a puppy. After many rehabilitation sessions, she is now able to go on walks confidently!

Quick Facts:
-most afraid of men 👨🏻
-not a barker unless provoked (tapping on car window, new people looking into her crate, etc.)
-looooves cats 🐈
-gets along with dogs 🐩
-not treat motivated, only pets and scratches will motivate her
-loves camping 🏕
-loves hiking long distance

🏡She needs a patient home that will give her time to come out of her shell. Please let us know if you are interested!

🦴Penny was abused as a puppy and now has anxiety. We got her a tent and placed it at the opposite side of the campsite so she could observe and learn that not all humans are bad.

Pro tip for meeting an anxious dog, simply ignore them. Don’t make eye contact and don’t face them head on. And as always, be patient. 🤍

✨Messy classrooms is where magic happens

This is homeschooling / alternative learning at its finest 🤍 with a mix of unschooling techniques (loose lesson plans), children form their own curriculum. I started with the boreal forest, which prompted Justin to gain interest in Grizzly bears, which morphed into forest fires and then into the different roles in a firehouse.

Meet Penny! 🐕🐾🦴

She was rescued from Cairo, Egypt by

Penny was abused on the streets as a puppy, her leg was badly injured and there are scars all over her body. She developed anxiety and cowers away from men. She gets along with other dogs and loves cats 🐱

Thankfully, with a lot of love, trail hikes, and exposure therapy, she is getting better. She completed the Cascade Mountain Hike in without a problem! She passed by everyone and even made friends with other doggos 🤍

We are still working on rehabilitating her and she will be up for adoption soon 🤞🏼

🌈Cucumber July 11th - July 28th, 2022

Unfortunately, Cucumber passed on July 28th, 2022 due to fading kitten syndrome. I had noticed something in his p**p but the vets had ruled out parasites and infections. A couple days later he started to lose weight and stopped rolling over from his back. I brought him to the vet right away but was told he passed from a congenital disease.

We ended up having a small funeral for him where my students painted rocks in his memory 🤍

Rest in Paradise, Cucumber 🌈 Find Sassy, Harvey and Hex for me up there 🤍
