Today we added a very special member of our pack to our memorial tree 🪽🤎🌈
Sweet Piper has been coming to SS since she was just a lil pup. For the last 1 1/2 years, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow up, and she quickly became one of those dogs who could brighten your entire day just by walking through the fence gate.
And that smile. 🥹 Piper genuinely had one of the happiest smiles we have ever seen and we were lucky enough to see it so often.
Sadly, Piper was diagnosed with a rare immune disorder, and a few days ago her family had to say goodbye to her far too soon.
When dogs spend this much time with us, they become more than clients. They become part of our family and part of our pack. Piper grew up here, made so many friends here, and she will be incredibly missed by all of us.
Piper’s name will now have a permanent place on our Memorial Tree alongside the other special members of our pack who have left us. A little reminder that once you’re part of the Shepherd Sanctuary pack, you’re always part of it.
Our hearts are with Piper’s family as they navigate such an unimaginable goodbye. Thank you for sharing your beautiful girl with us and trusting us with her since she was just a pup. 🤎
