💚 World Mental Health Day 🐾

Sometimes, the best therapy has four legs, a wagging tail, and absolutely no idea how much they mean to us. ❤️

Our pets have a special way of making the hard days a little lighter. They offer companionship without judgment, comfort without questions, and a kind of unconditional love that reminds us to slow down, take a breath, get outside, and simply enjoy the moment.

Today, let's celebrate the incredible bond we share with our animals and the difference they can make in our lives. And let's remember that it's okay to ask for help and lean on others when we need it, too.

Here's to our four-legged companions, who make our world a little brighter just by being in it. 🐾💚

A few of our fur-iends from last week 🐾 Someone had a lot of fun with the Chuckit Air Ball system! We don't have a Chuckit here at the resort but I think we will need to get one soon!

Meet Daisy! 💕 Our sweet and gentle Great Dane guest

One week, one very sweet Great Dane and a whole lot of getting to know this beautiful girl! ❤️

Daisy recently stayed with us for her very own vacation, while her family took a well-overdue getaway — and she was an absolute sweetheart!

Since Daisy had never been boarded before, we introduced her to our program gradually over the summer with daycare followed by a short boarding stay. We believe these shorter, low-stress introductions are so important for first-time boarders, allowing them to become comfortable with our surroundings and routine at their own pace.

During those first few days, Daisy was quiet and reserved but once she realized she was safe, comfortable and cared for, we started to see her beautiful, fun personality shine through! 🥰

We absolutely love watching our guests settle in, gain confidence and truly thrive in our care. And Daisy certainly did just that! ❤️

Thank you to her family for trusting The Pet Resort at Turkey Hill Farm with their beautiful girl. We can't wait to have Daisy back again! 🐾💕

🌞 Closing out Summer with some familiar faces! 🐾

So many fun friends, happy tails and plenty of adventures to finish off August!

And just like our own dogs, some of our regular guests have earned themselves their very own fun "kennel names"! 🙃 Bee sure to click on each photo to disccover their special nickname!🐾❤️

🐾 A helpful resource to share with someone who may need it 🐾

If you know someone who may be on a tight budget, doesn’t currently have a regular veterinarian, or simply needs access to some basic veterinary services, this is a great resource to pass along. ❤️

The clinic offers services for both cats and dogs, with reduced-cost pricing including:
🐶🐱 Wellness exam — $50
💉 Rabies vaccine — $25
🏷️ Microchip — $37.50
💉 Core vaccines — starting at $13
🪱 Deworming — based on weight
🦟 Flea & tick prevention — based on weight
✂️ Spay/neuter services are also available.

There is no requirement to provide proof of income to access these reduced rates, and you do not have to be a Peterborough resident to use the clinic.

If you know someone who could benefit from this, please share this information with them. Sometimes simply knowing that an affordable option exists can help someone get their pet the care they need. 🐾❤️

Peterborough Humane Society's offers spay and neutering services. Here you will find information regarding pricing, appointment booking, or other questions.

Happy International Dog Day 🐾🐕‍🦺

Our littlest guest got his first-ever tractor ride in the John Deere! 🐾🚜💚

He may not be a farm dog by birth, but he is probably the farmiest non-farm dog we’ve ever had! 😂 He absolutely loves everything about farm life — watching the horses train, keeping an eye on the tractor, and exploring the farm.

We think he may have been a farm dog in another life…
