Reminder to Our Local Dog Owners! 🐾

As we all enjoy getting out and about around Port McNeill, please help us keep our community safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone by keeping a few friendly guidelines in mind:

🐕 Keep Dogs Leashed: Unless you are in a designated off-leash area, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while in town. This ensures the safety of all pets and community members.

💩 Scoop the P**p: Always clean up after your pet! Carrying waste bags and disposing of them properly helps keep our parks, sidewalks, and shared spaces clean and healthy.

🚫 Observe & Obey Posted Signs: Please pay attention to local signage regarding pet restrictions. In particular, dogs are strictly not permitted on the school track or sports fields. Respecting these posted rules helps preserve municipal facilities and ensures these spaces remain safe for community activities and students.

Thank you for your cooperation and for being a responsible pet owner!

Hey McNeill dog owners,

We are so lucky to have an enclosed dog park!

While I love that we have it, I need to remind you to pick up after your dog(s).

It's overwhelming the amount of times I've visited the dog park, and before we can enjoy it, I (and other kind locals) have to pick up so much dog excrement. Please pick up after yourselves. The town graciously supplies dog bags, and a bin for us to do so!

This goes for everywhere around town! I personally hate stepping in it anywhere, anytime!

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

****Update: Neighbors and friends, we have received another call today (Aug 19) about this little pup... We would love your help to remind it's owner to please keep it safe. Leashed or in a fenced enclosure. Having it run the roads is a risk to it's safety! I definitely don't want the call saying it's been injured or worse.
Please folks, protect your furiends.***

Hi Mcneill!

We've had a report of a dog on the lamb! We've tried to catch him, as we've seen him a few times out there on Haddington.... Does anyone know this little guy?

Please remember, we have to keep our pets secured in our yard, or on a leash while on town streets!

Thanks everyone for your help in keeping our furiends safe! And our people safe!

Hi Mcneill and communities,

**FOSTER FOUND**

"Lola" has found herself needing a new home.. She is approximately 2yrs old, awaiting her spay next week. She's a gorgeous short haired tuxedo, with the sweetest personality.

We are seeking either a temporary foster, or her furever home... She'll come up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and with flea treatment.

We know she gets along well with other cats, we are unsure about dogs.

Do you, or someone you know, have room for a sweet girl who has so much love to share?

PICTURES COMING SOON.

Have you seen this beauty? Please check around your homes and sheds... She is missed dearly
