🐾 A Quick Update About Our Services 🐾

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to increase the price of our pack hikes. This increase will take effect June 22nd and all prices are HST included.

If you know me, you know I’ve tried very hard to avoid doing this. We’ve absorbed rising costs for as long as possible because keeping our services affordable for our amazing clients has always been important to me. Unfortunately, with the continued increase in fuel costs, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and the general costs of running a business, we’ve reached a point where an adjustment is necessary.

One thing I will never compromise on is providing safe, enriching adventures for your dogs and ensuring the incredible people who help care for them are paid fairly for the hard work they do every day.

As part of these changes, our daycare pickup and drop-off fee will also be increasing to $5 per direction. This helps cover the rising costs associated with operating and maintaining our transportation services while continuing to provide the convenience many of our clients rely on.

These decisions are never easy, but they will allow us to continue providing the quality care, transportation, and adventures that your dogs know and love.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and trust. Supporting a small local business means more than you know, and I am so grateful to be a part of your dogs’ lives.

🐾 FUN FACT FRIDAY 🐾 (On a Monday…. Again 😂)

Did you know that mental enrichment can tire your dog out just as much—sometimes even more—than physical exercise?

While running and playing are important, dogs also need opportunities to use their brains. Sniffing, exploring, socializing, problem-solving, and experiencing new things are all natural behaviours that help dogs feel fulfilled and satisfied.

At Tails N Trails, we don’t just focus on burning energy—we make enrichment part of every daycare day! Whether it’s exploring the yard, sniffing along the fence line, making new friends, heading out on a trail adventure, enjoying a special snack activity, or working through a puzzle game, we’re always encouraging dogs to use both their minds and their bodies.

Food-based enrichment and puzzle games are a great way to engage a dog’s natural instincts. They encourage problem-solving, build confidence, and provide a fun challenge that helps keep busy minds occupied.

You’ll often hear people say their dog came home and slept for hours after daycare. That’s not just because they ran around all day—it’s because they’ve spent the day thinking, learning, exploring, sniffing, playing, and engaging with the world around them.

A tired dog is great, but a fulfilled dog is even better. ❤️🐾

That’s why we strive to provide a balance of play, socialization, exploration, enrichment, snacks, puzzles, and rest throughout the day so your pup goes home happy, tired, and content.
