Ever consider fostering?! Now is the perfect time!

We can’t say yes, until a foster home says yes!

Our President & Founder is currently in Nunavut to volunteer at a surgical clinic made possible by Nunavut Animal Rescue. While there, she will be working with NAR, Sash-Mar Paws Helping Northern Dogs, and our team here in Ontario to place animals who may need intake by a rescue.

We will review available information, reach out to our foster pool to determine availability / interest in intaking, and then work with our partners to bring the animals into care. We have a few fosters who have committed to helping, which has been a wonderful way to kick off the week.

Tucco (below) has been waiting for a foster home / rescue placement for weeks. Yesterday, one of our wonderful volunteers said yes to fostering, which means we could say yes to Tucco!

If you’d like to be the reason animals like Tucco get the chance to come South, please consider fostering. We can only intake what we have committed fosters for.

Gimli says a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our nail clinic fundraiser yesterday! We raised enough to cover first vet vettings. 🎉 we could not have done it without you! ❤️

If there is any interest, Gim will be available for adoption in the coming month(s)… if we don’t have a foster fail on the horizon 👀 he is the sweetest, silliest little dude!

A little update from Hank & Hound 🤍

Unfortunately, due to a very unexpected broken leg, all appointments with Becca are cancelled until further notice. I will require surgery followed by some recovery time before I’m able to safely get back on my feet and return to grooming.

If you currently have an appointment booked with me, there is no need to reach out to reschedule. I will be contacting everyone individually and working through my appointments as soon as I’m mobile enough to return to work. I promise I’ll do everything I can to get everyone back into the schedule as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, Kate’s books will also be closed to new bookings so that we can hopefully accommodate and help reschedule as many of my existing clients as possible.

I’m incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while I heal. This definitely wasn’t how I planned on spending the next little while, but apparently my leg had other ideas. 🫠

Thank you for bearing with us while we figure things out. I’ll keep everyone updated as I know more about surgery, recovery, and when I can safely return to work.

— Becca 🤍
