Our beautiful gal hasn't received any application. Despite being a beautiful fluffy chocolate brown with a unique attitude to boot! Please share so we can help our girl find her forever home 🙌🏾💕

Remember Pumkin Spice? We never thought we'd be writing this... but she's now been deemed adoptable!!!! Can you believe it!? If you don't remember - Here's a bit of a recap -
Found abandoned in a box, this true chocolate brown beauty has already survived more than any cat ever should. 💔 Now all she needs is someone to show her what love and safety really feel like.
With her stunning long chocolate coat and soulful eyes, she turns heads everywhere she goes....but it’s her personality that will truly win you over. She’s playful, curious, treat-motivated, and always wants to know what her people are doing. She’ll happily follow you around like your little shadow and keep you company every step of the way.
She’s not much of a lap cat, but she loves being close beside you on the couch or curled up on the pillow next to your head at bedtime. She’s smart, spirited, and full of charm.
She would be best suited to a house where she is the only cat, as she likes to be the center of attention. She has gotten along well with some of her fellow foster cats but can be a bit of a bully to others. She has not been around young children.
She has undergone extensive veterinary testing to ensure there are no serious underlying health concerns. While she does have a mild, persistent cough, it’s something that’s already been thoroughly checked out. She’s otherwise happy, comfortable, and ready to settle into a loving environment. While asthma can’t be completely ruled out in the future, she is currently doing well and ready to start her next chapter.
After being discarded like she didn’t matter, we would love nothing more than to see her cherished the way she has always deserved. Please share, tag someone looking for a truly unique companion, or apply to adopt. Let’s make sure the rest of her story is nothing but love.
Due to the small amount of volunteer availability - Serious applicants and inquiries only -

❗️We want to share an important update with our community.
Phoenix Cat Rescue Society will be taking 2026 to pause intake growth and focus on restructuring, so we can build a foundation that is truly sustainable long-term.
Over the past months, the trust in our community has grown rapidly. While this speaks to the incredible support you’ve placed in us (which we are so deeply grateful for ❤️), it has also pushed us beyond what our current foster network and volunteer capacity can safely sustain.
Maintaining a high standard of animal care is not optional. It’s the difference between true rescue and simply cycling animals through like a revolving door. We will never operate like a cattery that intakes and pushes animals out just to keep numbers moving. Every cat deserves proper care, disease control protocols, time, and a thoughtful path to their forever home. These are not things we are willing to compromise on.
This decision does not come lightly and it is not due to a lack of support. If anything, it’s the opposite and along with that growth has come an expectation for us to respond at a capacity we are not yet built for.
✨ In 2026, our focus will be:
• Strengthening our foster network
• Building a larger, well-supported volunteer team
• Creating sustainable systems behind the scenes
• Ensuring every animal we commit to has a safe, appropriate placement, with backup plans
During this time, intake will be extremely limited as we rebuild responsibly. Sustainability means being able to help not just today, but for years to come.
If you’ve ever thought about fostering or volunteering, now is the time. This is how we grow stronger, together.
Thank you for standing with us, believing in us, and giving these cats a future. 🐾
Sincerely,
The PCR Team

Thank you to everyone who has donated! Every dollar, share, and post interaction truly matters and we feel it in a very real way. 💛
We also want to give a massive shout-out to a very generous anonymous donor who contributed $2,000. With busy season right around the corner, this level of support means the world to our rescue and the cats who will need us.
It’s not lost on us how tough the cost of living is right now, and the fact that people still choose to pour into our mission is something we cherish deeply 💕

We're not crying! YOU'RE CRYING 🥹YOU did this.
This incredible community, packed full of love and trust, made this happen. 💛 Jax and Jay, the pair of bonded orange boys who have spent over 100 days in care finally landed their forever, together in a home with twin sisters.
Like… what are the chances?! Twin orange cats go home with twin humans who are just as bonded. We honestly can’t even. 🥹🧡🐾
We are over the moon and the tears shed today were the happiest kind. Thank you again for always sharing our posts, cheering for our animals, and knowing when to step up for the ones who need it most.
This is community. This is rescue. This is why we keep going.

‼️UPDATE please share‼️Jax & Jay are still searching for their forever home and it's unfortunately one of those situations where we know if we could showcase them at an adoption host such as Bosleys they'd be adopted already..but they get stressed in that environment and of course we don't want that! Our most recent vetted applicant unfortunately fell through, and most inquiries have been too busy or full of existing pets for these calm, sensitive boys. They’ve now been in care far too long for how lovely they are....truly two of the snuggliest, sweetest cats we’ve had. Yes, they’re almost a year, but all cats deserve love, not just tiny kittens 🙌🏾💕
Because of their temperament, we’re specifically looking for a dog-free home, no kids under 4 (older calm kids are great), and ideally no resident cats unless you’re experienced with slow intros and matching personalities. They did well with their fellow rescue buddies, but became displeased with a confident resident cat in a temp foster over the holidays.
If you’re looking for calmer companions (not chaos kittens) and you love affectionate, sensitive snuggle-cats who bond deeply once settled, these are your boys. They need your arms, your lap & your love.

Serious applicants only please as we have very limited volunteers for vetting.

ADOPTED
Post update #2 - PENDING approval whoohooo! Thanks everybody for showing these boys what a little community team work and love can do 🙌🏾✨️💕🐾
Post update- These beautiful boys have shown they are stressed traveling to our adoption hosts. Therefore, we will not be bringing them out anymore. Putting the animals first is our priority and we will advocate for an Adopt-from-Foster situation for these angels. Available to meet in Parksville. 🏡These orange boys are so loving, so cuddly, and so desperately in need of a chance. They aren’t just lap cats.. they look into your soul with a quiet longing to be chosen. To finally be someone’s. We know why it’s happening. They’re near full grown....People are scrolling past or walking by. Please..they have their entire lives left to give. Years of companionship. This love may not start with a “tiny kitten phase”... and that should be ok 🙌🏾
They’ve been in care far too long, watching all the others leave while they are left behind… still hopeful, still waiting. If you can’t adopt, share.
If you’ve been on the fence, this is your sign.
Help us give them the chance they deserve...our hearts are breaking for these loving bonded brothers as they've had 0 applications. You can apply here -

After extensive diagnostics, including bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasound, and scope...our sweet girl has continued to show concerning symptoms that seem to be increasing, despite every effort made on her behalf. Most recently, findings have raised concern for a likely cancer located adjacent to her carotid artery, which significantly limits safe diagnostic and treatment options.

At this time, we are awaiting the latest results of a scope done last week. In parallel, and in close consultation with our veterinary team, palliative care has become part of the discussion should these final rounds of testing not provide answers or safe, meaningful treatment paths.

Throughout this journey, she has been nothing short of a trooper. As a rescue, we carry a deep responsibility to balance pursuing answers with respecting an animal’s comfort, stress levels, and quality of life. That balance is never easy.

Should palliative care become the chosen path, it would mean prioritizing comfort over continued invasive testing. Allowing her to spend her time being loved, spoiled, and supported by her devoted foster mom rather than undergoing repeated procedures and vet visits.

For now, she is being closely monitored and supported with medication to keep her comfortable while we wait for clearer guidance from these last tests.

We have always promised transparency, even when the news is heavy. No decisions are being made lightly, and all discussions are happening with veterinary guidance and her best interests at the center.

To our community: when rescues share updates like this, please know these conversations come after extensive testing, careful deliberation, and a great deal of heartbreak. Rescue work carries hope....and sometimes very hard truths.

Thank you for holding space for her, and for trusting that every step forward is being taken with compassion, ethics, and love. 🤍

Can you help these bonded brothers find their forever home before Christmas? ✨ Meet Jax and Jay...two gorgeous, gentle 10-month-old brothers who are as sweet as they look. These boys are true lap cats and absolute lovebugs.

💛 Jay may seem a little more "I'll be over here" for the first few minutes..but don’t be fooled. He’s the one who will wiggle his way into your arms, turn himself around, and demand to be held like a baby… in the cutest, most heart-melting way. So one must accommodate this cute quirk.

💛 Jax is attentive, expressive, and will stare at you with those “please love me” eyes that could soften even the hardest heart.

Both boys chatter, trill, and soak up human affection. They adore each other deeply and bring out the best in one another.. which is why they are strictly bonded and must be adopted together.

🏡 Ideal Home
These boys thrive in calm environments. Because of their sensitive and observant nature, a home with no young children is a must. Older teens should be fine. They love adults, routine, and cozy spaces where they can relax and feel safe and snuggle into you after an epic wand play session.

🩺 Vetting & Care
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Fully vaccinated (As of boosters next week)
✔️ Microchipped & tattooed
✔️ Parasite control up to date
✔️ Indoor-only, as with most Phoenix Cat Rescue cats

If you’ve been waiting for a pair of affectionate, well-mannered, people-oriented companions… Jax and Jay might be your perfect match. If not - PLEASE share this. The power of sharing will help them find their forever.

We will never take for granted how supportive and welcoming our community has been....especially considering how new and tiny we still are. Your kindness continues to lift us in ways we can’t fully put into words.

Today, we want to extend another MASSIVE thank-you to WinterFest Craft Fair. Their generous donation will go directly toward little Asher’s echocardiogram.
We have growing concerns about his heart, and our veterinary team has sent in a referral for a specialist to determine what his prognosis may look like.

Asher is safe in the arms of a foster who is no stranger to fragile kittens. She is prepared for whatever we may learn, hopeful for the best, and deeply devoted to giving him comfort, love, and dignity every step of the way.

Please keep this sweet soul in your thoughts as we move toward his scan next week. Your support gives us the ability to show up for kittens like Asher...and for that, we are endlessly grateful. 🥹
