🌈🐾 National Rainbow Bridge Day 🐾🌈

Today is a day to remember the pets who may no longer be by our side, but will always have a place in our hearts. ❤️

The ones who greeted us at the door, slept beside us, made us laugh, comforted us when we cried, and loved us without ever asking for anything in return.

Losing a pet leaves a space that can never truly be filled. They may have only been a part of our lives for a short time, but to them, we were their whole world. 🐾💔

Today, I’m thinking of all the good boys and girls waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. Run free, chase all the balls, eat all the treats, and know that you are still loved and missed every single day. 🌈🐶🐱❤️

Until we meet again… those paw prints will forever remain on our hearts. 🐾🌈❤️

💜 OVERNIGHT STAY & DAILY CARE INFORMATION 💜🐾

I just want to take a moment to explain how overnight stays and daily care are charged at Nubbs&Tails so everything is clear and easy to understand for my amazing pet parents 🐶✨

Each day your pet is in my care is considered a full care day, and that day is charged whether your pet:

🐾 Arrives earlier in the day
🐾 Comes later in the day to start their overnight stay
🐾 Or goes home at any point during that day

The reason for this is simple — your pet’s space, attention, routine, and care are reserved specifically for them for the entire day. 💜

Even if they are only here for part of the day, I still plan my schedule, walks, feeding, supervision, and care around their needs.

This helps ensure:
🐶 Consistent, high-quality care
🐶 A safe and calm environment
🐶 Proper scheduling for all pets in my care

I truly appreciate your understanding and support — it allows me to continue providing the best possible care for every dog who stays with me 🐾💜

🐾 KENNEL COUGH — A QUICK REMINDER FOR ALL DOG PARENTS 🐾

Kennel cough is highly contagious and can spread quickly between dogs, especially in places where dogs socialize, walk, play, or share spaces together.

Some common signs include:
🐶 A persistent, dry “honking” cough
🐶 Gagging or retching
🐶 Sneezing
🐶 Runny nose
🐶 Mild tiredness or decreased appetite

If your pup starts showing symptoms, please keep them home and let your dog walker, daycare, or boarding provider know right away. ❤️

Even if your dog seems happy and otherwise healthy, kennel cough can still spread to other dogs. Giving them time to rest and recover helps protect your pup and all of their furry friends.

At Nubbs&Tails, the health and safety of every dog in our care is always a priority. 🐾💜 If a dog is showing signs of illness, we may need to postpone walks, daycare, or boarding until they are safe to return.

When in doubt, please speak with your veterinarian. 🩺🐶

🌫️ Air Quality Matters for Our Pets Too 🐾

With the air quality being poor today, it’s important to remember that our pets can be affected just like we are. Smoke and fine particles in the air can irritate their lungs and make it harder for them to breathe.

🐶 Watch for signs such as:
• Coughing or sneezing
• Excessive panting
• Difficulty breathing
• Watery eyes
• Lethargy or reduced energy

To help keep your furry family members safe:
🐾 Keep walks shorter and less strenuous.
🐾 Avoid intense exercise outdoors.
🐾 Make sure they have plenty of fresh water.
🐾 If your pet has breathing issues or is brachycephalic (Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs, etc.), consider keeping them indoors as much as possible.

At Nubbs&Tails, your pets’ health and safety always come first. I’ll be closely monitoring the air quality throughout the day and adjusting walks as needed to ensure every pup stays safe and comfortable.
