Rest Your Paws Pet Care was founded and is run by Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Lisa. After working in a couple different clinics and not satisfied with that area of work, Lisa was looking to get out of the clinic atmosphere and help pet parents in a different way. Rest Your Paws Pet Care understands that most pets are more comfortable at home than they are in a clinic setting or a boardi

ng facility. By offering in-home services, pet parents don’t have to stress about their pets being locked away in small kennels and/or the anxiety caused by being away from home. Lisa will come meet you and your pets in the comfort of your home and go over with you what your needs and expectations are. Always an awesome walk with my lovely Wednesday 2pm walk gang, aka the senior’s club. Coop was feeling a bit camera shy today but we promise he loves his walks.

The first day of summer was last week but it looks like the heat is arriving this week! The Weather Network is currently forecasting temperatures to feel anywhere from 32-39c this week! Overnight temperatures won't be decreasing by much and temperatures will already be at 20c by the time many of us get up in the morning this week. Therefore, for the safety of the RYPPC team and your dogs, ALL walks will be shortened to just quick pee/poo breaks. If you'd rather just cancel your walks this week please reach out to Lisa. No cancellation fees will be applied to cancelled walks due to the heat. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Update: App has been fixed!!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give a heads up that the PetPocketBook app currently has a glitch that is causing some booking requests not to be registered in the system! If you've sent a booking request in the last week that I haven't replied or accepted please reach out via text or email. On my end I'm only seeing 3 pending requests from one family so please reach out if you should have one in the system! Please note that this glitch is only affecting the app, if you send requests through the website there shouldn't be any issues. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

On a less serious note, I secretly think Tiki and King maybe have applied to work at and contrary to their belief, they do NOT have experience with app development

I feel like this sums up how I felt today pretty well. Apologies to my walking clients who I had to cancel on today, a migraine reared its ugly head as I woke up this morning and put me out of commission. Cat visits have been completed and I’m back home hydrating and chilling on the couch with C.J.

Today’s office 🥰
With our live-in services we stay overnight in your home with your pets. During the day we are in and out throughout the day depending on our schedule. Today is a light day so I get to spend some of this lovely day outside with my current live in pets.

🌈An absolutely beautiful soul crossed the rainbow bridge today.🌈
If you looked up Golden Retriever in the dictionary you'd find a picture of Daisy. Her main goals in life was to make friends, eat food and bug her brother. After walks she'd jump on the couch and do her best to undue any tidying her human had done while she was out on her walk. I'd often joke that she was all love and no brain cells as she was always just the happiest goofiest dog that would drive me bonkers sometimes, but you couldn't help but love her when she'd look at you with a big happy face like nothing could ever be wrong. I know you're now running free of cancer, creating a ruckus and spreading happiness but Daisy you will be so missed. My walks with your brother won't ever be the same, 4 years was not long enough. 🌈
