This is my dog Tater, he is a rare Dandie Dinmont Terrier, unfortunately his breed is at risk because only about 250 are born worldwide each year. So today we are having World Dandie Dinmont Terrier Day to bring more awareness of this awesome breed to the public.

Dandies are one of the oldest terrier breeds and come from Scotland, they are called the “gentleman of the terrier group” if you’ve heard that terriers can be spicy, dandies are cinnamon. They make great family pets, they are known to be good with children and are very food and attention motivated making them easy to train. They are considered non shedding so they do need regular grooming.
