We had a busy super fun weekend at Barn hunt. Thank you to Carla Bennett of Storm Haven for hosting West Coast Ratter’s trials this weekend and to the amazing judges and volunteers!!

Lucy was, as per the usual, our star this weekend. She participated in all 6 runs! Lucy was First place and High in Class for her first 3 Novice runs! That was her RATN title! That meant Lucy moved up to Open, where again, she exceeded my expectations. Lucy Qualified in all three runs obtaining her Open title RATO.

Freddie also participated this weekend and worked extremely well. Unfortunately we had to short changed Freddie on Friday. We only had time for one run, which she Qualified in!! (We had a very important date in Parksville watch my grandson first HPL hockey game of the year). Day two she did not disappoint and Qualified in two more Novice runs earning her Novice title RATN! Today Freddie moved up to Open. Her first run was expectional. She worked hard, hunted hard and did every component of the run correctly. Unfortunately she got a little to excited and jumped up and collided with one of the rat wranglers and was NQ’ed. 😢 Her next run was very good and she successfully obtain her first Open Qualifying run. One down 2 more to go!!

We also congratulate Freyja for an exceptional Barn Hunt weekend. Stay tuned!! We will post her news in another post!!

Congratulations to all who participated!! So fun to be back at Barn Hunt. It’s been too long!!

Lizzy and her babies!! 🥹

This started with a visit to Kelowna where she found an old unicorn toy that was a toy from Auntie Bev’s dog that had past away. Lizzy was obsessed!!

Apparently she still is!! 🧡
