BEAR'S MILESTONES
15 WEEKS OLD

PUPPY 101

🐾 Commands: Sit, Down, Up & Paw 🙌
🐾 Potty training: decreased in the house & started to go to the front door & whimpers if he needs to p*e or pooh. No p*e pads! 😀
🐾 Walks: work in progress! Still flops down in the middle of the street. 🤦‍♀️
🐾 Socialization: BEAR'S a natural! 😊
🐾 Crate: for sleeping 💤
🐾 Sign language: easy peasy 👍

BEAR continues to blossom at Batshaw Youth & Family Services, Prevost Campus, with the Youth who are becoming an integral
Part of his puppy training journey as a Pet Therapy dog. YMCA provided many activities on this special event for all clients to participate in. 🐾 Healing Hearts One Paw At A Time 🐾

Pet Therapy with BEAR & CHEWIE 🩵
The teens are enjoying being a part BEAR'S training. My goal is for the youth to learn dog training techniques & implement them with BEAR & their own dogs when they have weekend leaves. The youths' faces light up every time BEAR responds. 🐾

🐾 BEAR learned; give both paws, down, up & retrieving the ball @ 14 weeks!
He's so incredibly smart. We also brushed him so he can eventually be comfortable at the groomer's. We went for walks & ended our 2 hour session with Doggy Zen. BEAR soaked up all the TLC.

🐾 Chewie continues to be the leader of my pack. Together we are implementing our session with tools to build my clients' self-esteem.

Puppy 101-BEAR'S MILESTONES 🩵

13 weeks & 4 days

My clients in my Pet Therapy facilitated & learned how to teach commands.
BEAR quickly learned: DOWN POSITION, UP & RETURNING A BALL....

Puppy Tip Of The Day: consistency & repeat!!
Reward commands & not just with treats!! 🐾

Wrapping treats or toys in a towel can keep your pup entertained and help soothe biting.

Day 5-BEAR'S🩵 Milestone's Today
Sitting command-sits before his meal and when it's time to put his collar on.
Crate training-goes into it on his own.
Longer walk albeit he flops down after a few minutes. Too cute!
Puppy 101 Tip of The Day
Keep their living space small to avoid p*e and poops. Eliminates the need for p*e p*e pads.

Day 3-BEAR 🩵. Today's Milestone's-still getting use to very short walks-it's a big adjustment for puppies to be on a leash-the best one's do not wrap around the neck or between the shoulder blades-Bear loves to flop down on the grass and roll around! 2nd....Socializing at a BBQ-everyone loved him! Having your pup socialized teaches them to become good doggie civilians! 3rd..Bear chewed on a carrot 🥕 Bear went into his crate when we got came back home tonight.
Puppy 101 Tip Of The Day: it's easy to get frustrated and say, 'No!' Replace the negative behaviour with a positive one. If you don't like what your pup is chewing on-replace it with something he can chew on
