New classes starting July 17th

Puppy class at 7:30
On top of the regular obedience we'll be making sure your puppy has the solid foundations of confidence, optimism, focus on you and disengagement from the environment to get them ready for the trials and tribulations of adolescence.

Does it feel like all your puppy training has gone out the window? Your pup is giving you new behaviours that you aren't sure you like? In this class we'll play our way back to the relationship you were dreaming of when you got a dog.

Disengagement

Another core concept that every dog needs to be a good family member.

A dog who can disengage when required isn't going to jump on your guests, chase the cat, and will come back when called.

Optimism

Optimism is one of the core concepts that every dog needs to be a good family member.

When your dog sees an ambiguous situation do they think, hey this is going to be awesome! Or do they think oh no, this is going to be awful!

Their answer is going to determine how they react.

Concepts are the underlying factors to your dog's struggles and successes.

Having trouble with your recall? Loose leash walking? You might need to work on proximity, disengagement and self control.

Can't leave your dog by itself? Some confidence, independence, and flexibility might be in order.

Concept training is looking at training and behaviour as more than just correcting or changing the actions your dog is doing.

Instead we work on the underlying challenges which allows us change the way the brain works.
