Happy 5th birthday to the BLUES BROTHERS!!! Jake and Elwood were my first litter of Abyssinians and I realized how different they were from Turkish Angoras, especially when 2 little Turks came onto the scene a few days later. Have a great day boys (now Riley and Artimis)!! Make sure your moms spoil you rotten!!!

Just a note to everyone who is in the market for a pedigreed kitten - any certain breed that you’re told is “pure” Bengal or ragdoll or Persian or whatever. Check the people out. Because just because they go to shows and have pretty pictures of their pretty cats and talk a good game - they could be hoarders and keep their animals in absolutely horrific conditions.

I know a lot of people don’t want strangers in their houses and block cattery visits for that and a multitude of reasons.

Personally I welcome kitten owners to my home. There are handwashing and shoes off rules and age limits for kittens being touched, but I have nothing to hide.

Perhaps a litter box is smelly or someone puked in a corner and I missed it (please tell me because I want to clean it up). But in general the house is vacuumed daily and mopped every 2nd day and I clean up messes as they’re seen. Litter boxes are scooped twice a day, water dishes changed daily and food dishes cleaned after every meal.

My cats are part of my family. Some of them irritate me with things they do, but they all have love daily. There is separation as you can’t have a baby making dad cat with the girls, and some personalities don’t get along with other personalities (and there are A LOT of strong personalities here), but everyone gets to run around the house and go out in the catio every day if they want to (well except the moms with tiny babies who are pretty much baby-bound like a human mom would be).

The person in this post is a big breeder in an association I don’t have much to do with. But he has cats that achieve international wins. People who want his breed want his cats. Know what you’re supporting.

Chappell is the last abyssinian kitten here - she’s leaving Saturday. Poppy has decided she is Chappell’s mom now. They’re inseparable. Always together and Poppy loves grooming her.

I think Poppy will make a great mom someday.

Congratulations to Karen and Haylo (used to be Flower when she lived here) for their success at the TICA Alligator Alley show in Clearwater Florida last weekend.

Best kitten and 2nd best were reported to me and then when I saw the show report I was thrilled to see she was best kitten overall!! She also was best kitten in Elodie Danielou’s solo ring.

Great job girls!!!!

Happy 12th birthday to the Turk who changed my life. Bobby!!!!!

The places we’ve gone, the things we’ve done, it’s all a whirlwind.

Lots of treats today - ones you won’t even have to steal from kittens!!! Love you Bobby!!

11 weeks old.
They seem to have had a toilet paper wrestling rally while I was at work.
Oh well. They’re cute.

Happy 2nd birthday to the Summer Olympics litter!! A litter of 5 little athletes who kept me on my toes.

Summer (still here), Sloan (Samara), Josh (Tupac), Maude (Darling) and Camryn (RIP Daphne) - I will never forget how you kept me doing hurdles and swimming laps.

10 weeks old.
And they’re running circles around me.
They’ve become best friends with Hetty and Poppy the Turkish angoras and are a little gang when they’re hungry.
Hard to believe they’ll start leaving in the near future.
