Hoover's Training Update 🐾💙

Hoover the Weimaraner has now had two sessions with me, and his mum is doing an incredible job putting in the work at home!

We've been focusing on building better coping skills, adding enrichment to his daily routine, and creating clear, consistent boundaries in the home. Combined with the conditioning work we're doing during our sessions, these changes have already been very productive.

Hoover is an anxious and reactive boy, but progress doesn't always come from doing more—it often comes from doing things differently. With a few thoughtful changes in how we approach and shape his behaviour, he has been making steady improvements and showing us that he's capable of making great choices.

I'm so proud of both Hoover and his mum. Training is a team effort, and their commitment to the process is really paying off. Thank you for trusting me to help guide Hoover on his journey!

Archie's Day Out 🐾✂️❤️

Look who came by for a daycare and grooming day—Archie!

I can't believe how big this handsome guy has gotten. It feels like just yesterday he was a tiny puppy, and now he's growing into such a beautiful young dog.

Archie spent the day hanging out with the daycare crew, getting pampered during his groom, and of course spending time with one of his favourite friends—Mabel! 🐶💕 The two of them always seem to enjoy each other's company.

He was such a good boy for his visit, and it was wonderful getting to see how much he's grown and matured.

Thanks for spending the day with us, Archie! We can't wait to see you again soon. 🐾❤️

Drifter's Training Update 🐾⭐

Three sessions in and Drifter is doing fantastic!

We've been working on leash walking, recall, engagement, reactivity around people and dogs, and tackling some counter-surfing habits. He has been making great progress, and it's been wonderful to watch his confidence and understanding grow with each session.

One of the biggest factors in a successful training program is consistency at home, and Drifter's mum is doing an amazing job. She's been putting in the work between sessions and making thoughtful adjustments around the home to help set him up for success. Those small changes can make a huge difference, and it's really showing in his progress.

Training is a team effort, and I'm so proud of how far Drifter has come already. Thank you so much for choosing me to be part of his training journey—I can't wait to see what he accomplishes over the next few sessions!

Frankie & Nova's Boarding Stay 🐾💕

Frankie and Nova recently spent 7 days with us, and we loved having them here!

These sweet girls settled into their routine beautifully and were an absolute joy to care for. Whether we were out for walks, relaxing around the house, or enjoying some quiet time in the yard, they were wonderful companions all week long.

Nova experienced a bit of an upset tummy during her stay, so we switched things up and made her some chicken and rice to help keep her comfortable. We were happy to give her a little extra TLC while she wasn't feeling her best. ❤️

One of the things I love most about boarding in a home environment is being able to adapt to each dog's individual needs and provide the same level of care and attention I would want for my own pets.

Thank you so much for your trust and for choosing me to care for your girls while you were away. We truly love Frankie and Nova and always look forward to spending time with them!

Daycare Highlights – May 20th Week 🐾

Finally have a hot minute to share some photos from daycare! ❤️

How cute are these pups? From playing and exploring to relaxing and lounging, everyone has been having a great time. Seeing each dog settle in, make themselves at home, and feel comfortable here is what truly matters most to me.

Whether they're racing around with friends, soaking up the sunshine, or napping after a busy day, it's wonderful to see them enjoying themselves and feeling safe and secure.

Thank you to all of the amazing families who trust me with their pets. 🐶💕 Every wagging tail, happy nap, and goofy smile makes my day.

Lily’s second groom went so well 🐾 She is such an adorable little doggie! We used a special conditioning treatment on her this time and her little nose was extra soft afterwards 💖 Key ingredients included jojoba oil and chamomile for a soothing, moisturizing spa day experience.

And can we just appreciate her amazing body condition? This girl is absolutely thriving ✨ Her pawrents take such incredible care of her and it truly shows.

From daycare and boarding to drop-in care visits, I’m so thankful for every pet that comes through Valley Pet Medic and every family that trusts me with their care. From playful pups to sweet kitties, making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved is always my top priority ✨

Jack & Charlie appreciation post 🐾💛

My goodness have these two been making steady progress lately — especially since adding a second training/walk day each week ✨

I’ve been working with this family for almost a year now, and hearing how much improvement they are seeing both inside and outside the home means so much to me 🫶

A year ago, neither dog was walkable on leash with the family. Jack was exceptionally reactive toward dogs and very fearful of large vehicles, making walks stressful and overwhelming for everyone involved.

Together, we focused on:
🐾 Building better routines at home
🐾 Adding fair structure, boundaries, and consistency
🐾 Reinforcing calm walking skills
🐾 Confidence building & engagement
🐾 Reducing stress and reactivity triggers

And now… they can go on FAMILY WALKS together 🥹🐶

Their progress inside the home has been improving too, and even little Finnigan now runs over for treats and allows me to pet him when I arrive — which is such a special moment for a sensitive dog 💕

One thing I always remind clients: learning is NOT linear. Especially in multi-dog households, occasional disagreements or setbacks can happen. Progress is about patterns over time, not perfection 🌿

I’m incredibly proud of Jack, Charlie, Finnigan, and their family for all the work they continue to put in every single week. Thank you so much for your continued trust 💛
