It’s officially been one week with Jerry! When Butch didn’t work out with our family, we swapped for Jerry, and Butch now has a different foster family 💙
And in just one week I have seen Jerry come out of his shell so much. When we first got him, he was very timid with us. He would hide in the dining room, he wouldn’t let us pet him and would change directions if we walked towards him.
Fast forward to today and he has opened up so much! He seems to be a completely different dog outside, because in the house he is still a little hesitant, but outside? He will come right up to you for some pets and lovin. He gets along with all dogs and loves playing and running around with them!
Here’s what we’ve learned about Jerry this week:
✔️ Kennel trained
✔️ House trained (had some accidents the first couple days, which is normal while they decompress)
✔️ Good with kids
✔️ Loves all dogs
✔️ Good off leash at the acreage
✔️ VERY food motivated
✔️ Jerry enjoys counter surfing for any food you may have left out. Including stealing full bags of treats and treating himself in the kennel 😅
Jerry is a 2-3 year old husky mix, fully vetted, and he’s looking for a family to call his own. Someone with lots of love and patience, as he is a such a gentle soul, but needs some extra training (we’re working on it as well). He is the best boy who will fit into any family that’s lucky enough to have him! ♥️
