Caris with about a week of ground work and a week of riding

With being back into shift work, it’s giving the young horses experiences they otherwise wouldn’t get at this point cause why would I ride after dark if I didn’t have to? lol Spice being a super good boy

Prince, a project I picked up late May. Several months of careful part time training getting him through an issue. He was just backyard broke and now with a months worth of riding and a couple weeks of pattern work, this is where we’re at. Did some fast forward work but winter will be spent getting better broke.

I put a 2 week tune on Odie before our local fair last week. With that short time I showed him in slow work repetitively the foot steps I want him to take around the barrels. Then showed him how to free up by going in the fields for a run. Then we went back to the pattern and put it together.

Clip of Bronco the other day. In this video he was packing the bit but still being steered by the halter. Only a few very short rides on him. Super easy and nice fella to get started. There’s other things we’re working on, getting a start under saddle is just a little bonus for him to get a working frame of mind.

Thank you for your support in 2026!

I am finishing up and no longer accepting new bookings with training horses and lessons for the season. Existing clients who’ve discussed with me for next season will be honoured.
I will reassess the likelihood of new clients in spring of 2027.

Scooter
13.3hh Gelding
Vet aged him as 10 yo. Teeth recently floated and was in great shape
Owner looking to move this guy
Project type.
We have no history with the exception of he’s sat around pastured the last couple years

Bit of a bad boy with the potential to be a good boy

He’s green broke. No buck bolt or rear but will try to drag his way to the gate.
Done some turns on the fence and can be pretty snappy on his front end.

Herd bound, with bits of improvement in a short time.

Owner not looking to put more training into him.

Suited for a handy rider who isn’t fazed by a “bad” pony

Current video in comments.
