🐎 Pony Camp Announcement 🐎

Half Day Pony Camp
Saturday, 12th September 10am-1pm

Each child will have a miniature horse to love and look after for the camp. We will go over safety and handling, challenge the obstacle course at the indoor arena.
There will be a chance to make a craft or play a game (we will let the children decide) and we will take a walk down to the brook for lunch. If we have time we will visit the goats.
Each child will have their photo taken with their horse for the day which will be mailed out to them at a later date.

Ages 5-13
Cost is $40 per child

We are bringing back our auction to raise funds to make our barn wheelchair accessible - that may have to be our goal for next year now as we are suddenly in the fall!

Item description on each photo. To place a bid just comment on the photo. Bids in $1 increments please.

Items can be picked up at the farm or meeting up can be arranged between Bridgetown and Greenwood, can be between Annapolis Royal and Berwick some days.

The auction ends on the 27th September at 4pm

Full Day Pony Camp!
Tuesday, 1st September 10am-4pm

Before the kids go back to school - let's have another camp!
Children can join us for a full day of pony camp where they will be given an opportunity to learn how to safely be around and handle horses.
We will take a walk with the horses together to the indoor arena and challenge the obstacle course.
Before we have a break for lunch we will talk about different feeds for horses and everyone will prepare lunch for their horsey companion, then we will take the woodland walk to the brook for lunch. We will also make a craft, play a game and visit all the goats.
Near the end of the day everyone will have a leadline ride on our lovely mare, Bijou, and be given a short and basic lesson on riding a horse (This is optional for each child, even if they just want to sit in the saddle for a minute, we will take it at their pace).
A photo will be taken of each child with their horse for the day and mailed out to them at a later date.

Spaces are limited!
For ages 6-13
$65 per child

Thank you to Jane for coming to our Read to a Pony Day event today.
She showed us her lovely book-to-be and the story idea is really lovely! 🥰

Unfortunately, no one came today (much to the disappointment of Merlin the Donkey) but we hope to have a couple more Read to a Pony Day's before the weather gets too cold.

📚 Read to a Pony Day - with our guest local author Jane Baskwill 📚

Sunday, 30th August
10am - 1pm or so

Be in a fun and relaxed environment around some of our lovely miniature horses and goats. Pet and groom them while they munch on some hay or rest in their stables. Each child who visits gets to choose a book from our collection of books, read to any pony (or goat), and take the book home with them.
Jane will be reading her soon to be published book, Peanut Measures Up. You can be the first to hear the story about a little pony named Peanut, who has one very big wish - to be bigger.

Our pop-up shop will be open, and tea and juice will be offered for refreshments.

All ages welcome.
Admission is $5 per person.
Pony rides will also be offered for $5 for up to the age of 6.

Located at 174 Grant Road, Port Lorne.
